Abstract

An apparatus for regulating the radiation of light and/or heat by means of the use of vanes which are suitable for being placed under a roof structure, such as a greenhouse roof, in which the vanes 140 are supported at or near to each end by means of a pair of laterally spaced connection cords 136, 137. These cords constitute the only suspension mechanism for the vanes and are mounted, via their upper ends, on combined carrier and tilting means 102, 107, 108, 115. Actuation 128 is provided for the combined carrier and tilting means so that the tilting movement of the suspended vanes is obtained directly. It is also possible for a return movement to be imparted to the vanes by means of the movement of the slides 134, 135 on the combined carrier and tilting means.
