Abstract

In a wind rotor having a transmission device, the output axle of which is driving an electrical generator, a trip mechanism which is normally blocked but may be activated by a failure detecting means is connected to a braking arrangement acting on the output shaft, the trip mechanism having a first activating means 10 for affecting the brake arrangement with a service brake force and a second activating means 11 for affecting the brake arrangement with an increased holding brake force, as well as time delay means 22, 23 for delaying of the effect of the second activating means 11 on the braking arrangement relative to the effect of the first activating means 10. Hereby, an efficient securing of the transmission device against destruction following too hard braking from a high rotational speed is obtained. <IMAGE>
