Abstract

A system for covering flat or sloping roofs comprises an inner layer 11 of felt, sheeting or a similar underlay material, which is adapted so as to be capable of being laid on a lower roof support 10, a central layer 12, 14 made of rock wool, glass wool or a similar insulation material, which is adapted to as to be capable of being laid on the underlay material, and an outer layer 15 of plastic sheeting, asphalt-impregnated web material or another sealing material, and also rows of fastening members 16, 24. The fastening members are equipped with a head or a support plate 16b adapted so as to form a bearing support against the upper surface of the sealing material 15, and with a stem portion 16a adapted to run transversely and anchor the outer layer to an underlay. The underlay (layer 13) which forms a support for the stem portion 16a of the fastening members 16 is different from and mounted in a plane above the roof underlay 10, preferably between a lower 12 and an upper 14 layer of insulation material. Said underlay is formed by mutually parallel elongate anchoring members 13a which are preferably laid without a direct connection to the roof underlay 10 and at a given mutual spacing between the fastening members. <IMAGE>
