Description

The invention relates to a vacuum cleaner filter bag comprising a bag wall and a retaining plate which is connected thereto and can be connected to, in particular meshed with, a mounting means of a vacuum cleaner.
Nowadays, vacuum cleaner filter bags are mainly produced from nonwovens. As a result of their excellent ability to store dust, vacuum cleaner filter bags made of nonwovens have practically replaced paper filter bags. The production of filter bags made of nonwovens differs fundamentally from the production of paper bags. Rectangular flat bags formed of one upper and one lower side wall which are welded together at the periphery thereof are in common use. Filter bags of this type are known, for example, from DE 201 01 466, EP 0 161 790, EP 0 639 061, EP 1 059 056 or EP 1 661 500. A vacuum cleaner comprising a vacuum cleaner filter bag is known from GB 2468880 A.
The vacuum cleaner filter bags are typically sold in a collapsible box after having been folded multiple times. When folded, the vacuum cleaner filter bags are then inserted by the consumer into the installation space provided therefor in the vacuum cleaner.
Since the installation space in the vacuum cleaner is typically smaller in at least one direction in space than the vacuum cleaner filter bag, the filter bag can often only unfold in the installation space to an insufficient extent. As a result, in some cases the filter bag cannot unfold to its full capacity. On the one hand, this can result in the flow not being uniform in all the regions of the side walls. As a result, the flow-through speed of the media can increase and the separation capability of the filter bag is reduced. On the other hand, there may not be as much surface area available for storing the dust particles. This can shorten the service life of the filter bag since the pressure loss in the bag increases rapidly and thus the volume flow rate conveyed through the vacuum cleaner drops relatively quickly. The useful volume available for holding dust is also reduced in the event of insufficient unfolding. A bag that is only partly unfolded can accordingly hold less dust, and the bag has to be changed sooner. DE 20 2007 014 353 U1 discloses a dust filter bag comprising a suspension tab and a suspension recess for individually suspending the dust filter bag in a sales unit. The problem described above thus does not arise since the dust filter bag is not folded.
The object of the present invention is to provide a vacuum cleaner filter bag which allows for an improved service life during operation.
The invention provides a vacuum cleaner filter bag comprising a bag wall and a retaining plate which is connected thereto and can be connected to, in particular meshed with, a mounting means of a vacuum cleaner, characterised in that the vacuum cleaner filter bag additionally comprises an attachment means which can be used to fix a part of the bag wall of the vacuum cleaner filter bag in place in at least one direction in space during operation of the vacuum cleaner.
The attachment means, which is provided in addition to the retaining plate, allows the vacuum cleaner filter bag to be positioned in the installation space in a vacuum cleaner in such a way as to achieve improved unfolding and thus to reduce the probability of the filter bag becoming blocked. In particular, it is possible to prevent the volume flow rate from dropping as much during operation than with a corresponding filter bag that does not have an attachment means. The service life of the vacuum cleaner filter bag can thus be improved.
By means of the retaining plate, a part of the bag wall can thus be fixed in place in at least one direction in space, in particular in all directions in space or completely, in particular in relation to the mounting means of the vacuum cleaner and/or in relation to the installation space in the vacuum cleaner. Another part of the bag wall can be fixed in place by means of the attachment means, in particular in relation to the installation space in the vacuum cleaner.
The bag wall can comprise a through-opening, through which the air which is to be cleaned during operation can flow into the vacuum cleaner filter bag, the retaining plate in particular being arranged in the region of the through-opening. The retaining plate can comprise a through-hole in the region of the through-opening. The vacuum cleaner filter bag, more particularly the retaining plate, can comprise a closure cap, by which the through-opening in the bag wall and/or the through-hole in the retaining plate can be closed.
The bag wall of the vacuum cleaner filter bag can comprise one or more layers of nonwoven material. The vacuum cleaner filter bag can thus comprise a bag wall made of nonwoven material. The bag wall can optionally also comprise a mesh. The bag wall can also consist of one or more layers of nonwoven material.
The vacuum cleaner filter bag is formed as a flat bag. In other words, the vacuum cleaner filter bag is formed such that it does not have a block bottom.
The bag wall comprises a first side wall and a second, in particular opposite side wall, which are interconnected by a peripheral weld seam. The first and second side walls can be arranged so as to be opposite one another, in particular in parallel with one another, in particular above one another.
The space defined by the first side wall, the second side wall and the weld seam can in this case form the inner space of the vacuum cleaner filter bag. The inner space of the vacuum cleaner filter bag can in particular only be defined by the first side wall, the second side wall and the weld seam. In other words, the bag wall can consist of the first side wall and the second side wall, which is welded thereto.
The retaining plate can be arranged on the first or second side wall.
The first side wall and the second side wall and/or the retaining plate and the bag wall, in particular the retaining plate and the first or second side wall, can be connected by ultrasonic welding and/or thermal welding. The filter bag can comprise one or more side creases.
The first and/or second side wall can each comprise one or more layers of nonwoven material.
The vacuum cleaner filter bag can also be formed as a block bottom bag.
The vacuum cleaner filter bag can in particular be a disposable vacuum cleaner filter bag.
The term nonwoven is used in accordance with the definition of the ISO standard ISO 9092: 1988 and CEN standard EN 29092. In particular, the terms fibrous web or web and nonwoven should be distinguished from each other in the field of nonwoven production in the following manner, and should also be understood as such within the meaning of the present application. To produce a nonwoven, fibres and/or filaments are used. The flimsy or loose fibres and/or filaments which have substantially not yet been bonded are referred to as webs or fibrous webs. A nonwoven which is strong enough to be wound up into rolls, for example, is eventually produced from a fibrous web of this type by means of a web binding step. In other words, the nonwoven is formed to be self-supporting as a result of the bonding. (Details regarding the use of the definitions and/or methods described herein can also be found in the standard reference “Nonwovens”, W. Albrecht, H. Fuchs, B. Kittelmann, Wiley VCH, 2000). The web binding step can for example include calendering the web. A dry-laid or wet-laid nonwoven or an extruded nonwoven, in particular a melt-spun microfibre spunbonded nonwoven (meltblown nonwoven) or a filament spunbonded nonwoven (spunbond) can be used as the nonwoven material. Wet-laid nonwovens and typical wet-laid paper are distinguished from each other according to the above definition, as used by the International Association Serving the Nonwovens and Related Industries (EDANA). A conventional (filter) paper is thus not a nonwoven.
For example, the bag wall can comprise a laminate made of a filament spunbonded nonwoven, a meltblown nonwoven and a filament nonwoven (SMS).
In terms of production, a plurality of layers of web can also be provided, and these are bonded to form precisely one layer of nonwoven. In other words, one layer of nonwoven can also comprise a plurality of layers of web. The nonwoven can in particular comprise staple fibres and/or continuous fibres.
The retaining plate can be connectable to, in particular meshable with, the mounting means of the vacuum cleaner in such a way that the position of the retaining plate can be substantially set or fixed relative to the mounting means. In other words, the retaining plate connected to the mounting means of the vacuum cleaner can be substantially set or fixed, in particular relative to the mounting means or relative to the installation space in the vacuum cleaner.
In this case, a retaining plate can generally be understood as being an element of the vacuum cleaner filter bag that is used to retain the vacuum cleaner filter bag inside a vacuum cleaner housing. The retaining plate can in principle be in any given form. For example, the retaining plate can be formed as a flat, planar component, as disclosed for example in EP 1 849 392. The retaining plate can, however, also have a more complex structure, as disclosed, for example, in DE 20 2008 006 904.
The retaining plate can comprise a plastics material. The retaining plate can in particular be welded to the bag wall, for example by ultrasound welding.
The retaining plate can be arranged in the region of an inflow opening in the bag wall of the vacuum cleaner filter bag. During operation of the vacuum cleaner, air to be cleaned can be conducted into the interior of the vacuum cleaner filter bag through the inflow opening. The retaining plate can comprise a through-hole in the region of the inflow opening..
The inflow opening and the retaining plate can be positioned at any point on the first side wall. For example, the inflow opening and the retaining plate can be arranged in the centre of the vacuum cleaner filter bag or so as to be offset from the centre.
In particular except for positional variations which are due, for example, to the flexibility of the material of the bag wall and/or of the attachment means, the part of the bag wall can thus be substantially fixed in place by means of the attachment means.
By means of the attachment means, the part of the bag wall can also be fixed in place in two or more directions in space, in particular in all directions in space, during operation of the vacuum cleaner.
The attachment means can be connected, in particular bonded and/or welded, to the bag wall.
The attachment means can comprise a material strip connected to the bag wall. The material strip can be a planar piece of material which is connected to the bag wall on one side and has a free end on the other side. The material strip can thus correspond to a tab. The material strip can be flexible. For example, the material strip can comprise a nonwoven material, paper and/or cardboard.
The material strip can have any geometry. For example, the material strip can be rectangular or semicircular. The material strip can, for example, protrude beyond the bag wall, in particular beyond a side edge of the bag wall.
The material strip can be formed integrally with one layer of the bag wall.
During operation of the vacuum cleaner, it can be possible, for example, for the material strip to be clamped between a housing seal and a housing cover of the vacuum cleaner. This allows the part of the bag wall, in particular the part of the bag wall connected to the material strip, to be fixed in place during operation of the vacuum cleaner.
In particular, the material strip can have a thickness of less than 2 mm, in particular less than 1 mm, in particular less than 0.5 mm.
The material strip can have a length of between 3 cm and 15 cm, in particular of between 5 cm and 13 cm, in particular 10 cm. More particularly, the material strip can protrude beyond the bag wall, in particular beyond a side edge of the bag wall, by between 3 cm and 15 cm, in particular between 5 cm and 13 cm, in particular 10 cm. The width of the material strip can be smaller than the length of the side edge of the bag wall beyond which the material strip protrudes, in particular less than a third, preferably less than a quarter the length of said side edge. The material strip can in particular have a width of between 1 cm and 6 cm, in particular of between 2 cm and 5 cm, in particular 4 cm.
The attachment means can also comprise a plurality of material strips connected to the bag wall.
The attachment device can comprise a hook connected to the bag wall and/or a pin connected to the bag wall. The hook and/or the pin can be connectable to, in particular meshable with, a part of the vacuum cleaner housing.
In this regard, a “pin” can in particular be understood to be an elongate element which can be interlocked with a part of the vacuum cleaner. The pin can for example be cylindrical or conical. Any other geometries which allow for an interlocking connection or force-locked connection are, however, also conceivable.
The hook and/or the pin can for example comprise a plastics material
The attachment means can also comprise a raised portion on the bag wall, for example made of plastics material or hot-setting adhesive. The raised portion can for example be dome-shaped.
The attachment means can comprise a hole, in particular a through-hole and/or a blind hole. This hole can be used to mount the attachment means in a part of the vacuum cleaner housing, whereby the portion of the bag wall can be fixed in place. The attachment means can also be a hole, in particular a through-hole and/or a blind hole.
The hole can for example be arranged in a material strip connected to the bag wall. Alternatively or additionally, the hole can also be arranged in the region of a weld seam of the bag wall.
The hole can in particular be a euro hole.
The attachment means can be arranged in the region of a side edge of the bag wall. In this regard, “in the region” of a side edge can in particular mean that the attachment means is connected to the side edge, in particular in the form of a weld seam. “In the region” of a side edge can also mean that the attachment means is arranged in a region of the bag wall that is at most 5 cm, in particular at most 2 cm, in particular at a normal distance from the side edge.
The attachment means can in particular be arranged in a region which is at a distance, in particular at a normal distance, from the side edge, which distance is at most 20 %, in particular at most 10 % the length of the longest side edge of the bag wall.
The attachment means can be arranged such that it is at the same distance from either end of the side edge. In other words, the attachment means can be arranged centrally in the region of a side edge of the bag wall.
The attachment means can be arranged such that it is at a maximum distance from the retaining plate. In particular, the distance of the attachment means, in particular of the connection point between the bag wall and attachment means, from the retaining plate, in particular the minimum distance, can be greater than or equal to half the length of the longest side edge of the bag wall.
The attachment means can in particular be arranged in the region of a side edge of the bag wall that is at the greatest distance from the retaining plate.
The bag wall of the vacuum cleaner filter bag can have at least four side edges, the attachment means being arranged in the region of the side edge that is at the greatest distance from the retaining plate.
Here, the distance of a side edge from the retaining plate can in particular be understood as being the normal distance. The distance can in particular be the normal distance from the geometric centre of the retaining plate or the minimum normal distance from the retaining plate.
One or more, in particular all of the side edges can be formed by a weld seam, for example by a weld seam which interconnects a first and second side wall of the bag wall.
The distance of the attachment means, in particular of the connection point between the bag wall and the attachment means, from the retaining plate, in particular the minimum distance, can be at least 2/3, in particular at least 3/4 the length of the longest side edge.
If the vacuum cleaner filter bag is circular, the attachment means can be arranged in the region of the bag wall that is at the greatest distance from the retaining plate.
In particular, the distance, in particular the minimum distance, of the attachment means from the retaining plate can be greater than the radius of the vacuum cleaner filter bag.
The attachment means can be arranged on the side of the vacuum cleaner filter bag on which the retaining plate is also arranged. The attachment means can also be arranged on the side of the vacuum cleaner filter bag which is opposite the side on which the retaining plate is arranged. For example, the retaining plate can be arranged on the first side wall and the attachment means can be arranged on the second side wall of a flat bag.
The attachment means can be formed such that it can be connected to a mating attachment means of the vacuum cleaner. The attachment means can also be formed such that it can be connected to an element of the vacuum cleaner, in particular of the vacuum cleaner housing. The attachment means can in particular be formed such that it can be detachably connected, in particular detachably connected in a nondestructive manner.
The connection can thus be based on a force fit (frictional fit), an interlocking fit and/or an integral bond. For example, the attachment means can be releasably bonded to the mating attachment means and/or to the element of the vacuum cleaner.
The mating attachment means can thus comprise, for example, a clamping device which is formed in particular such that an attachment means in the form of a material strip can be clamped during operation of the vacuum cleaner.
The attachment means and/or the mating attachment means can also comprise a hook-and-loop fastener.
If the attachment means comprises a hook connected to the bag wall and/or a pin connected to the bag wall, the mating attachment means of the vacuum cleaner can comprise a hole, in particular a through-hole and/or a blind hole.
If the attachment means comprises a hole, in particular a through-hole and/or a blind hole, the mating attachment means can comprise a hook and/or a pin for example.
According to an alternative, the bag wall can comprise a fold, in which the first side wall and the second side wall are both folded towards the upper face of the side wall on which the retaining plate is arranged. Since the fold is directed towards the side wall having the retaining plate, it is possible to achieve improved unfolding of the vacuum cleaner filter bag during operation of the vacuum cleaner. A part of the bag wall, in particular the part that has been folded over, can be placed on or over another part of the bag wall. The fold can thus be a fold over.
In other words, the first side wall and the second side wall can both be folded towards the retaining plate.
The fold can in particular be formed such that a part of the bag wall is folded over towards the upper face of the side wall on which the retaining plate is arranged. More particularly, a side edge of the bag wall and a region of the bag wall that directly adjoins the side edge can be folded towards the upper face of the side wall on which the retaining plate is arranged. The region adjoining the side edge can in particular have a width of at least a fifth, in particular at least a quarter, of the length of the side edge. The region adjoining the side edge can in particular have a width of at most half, in particular at most a third, of the length of the side edge.
The region adjoining the side edge can in particular have a width of at least 6 cm, in particular at least 7.5 cm. The region adjoining the side edge can in particular have a width of at most 15 cm, in particular at most 10 cm.
In this context, the width of the region can be measured perpendicularly to the side edge.
In this case, the upper face is understood to be in particular the outward facing face of the side wall, i.e. its outer face. The face of the side wall pointing towards the interior of the vacuum cleaner filter bag can, by contrast, be referred to as the lower or inner face. The retaining plate can in particular be arranged on the upper face of the first side wall.
The fold points or crease points that have the lowest radius of curvature can be referred to as fold joints. Connecting the fold joints produces what is known as the folding spine. The folding spine is also referred to as the fold axis. The fold axis can correspond to a longitudinal axis of a crease. The folding spine can correspond to a fold line.
According to an alternative, the bag wall has at least one fold in which the first side wall and the second side wall are both folded away from the upper face of the side wall on which the retaining plate is arranged.
The attachment means can be arranged in the region of a fold. The attachment means can in particular be arranged in a region of the bag wall which is folded over towards the upper face of the side wall on which the retaining plate is arranged. Alternatively or additionally, the attachment means can be arranged in a region of the bag wall which is folded away from the upper face of the side wall on which the retaining plate is arranged.
The invention also provides a vacuum cleaner comprising a mounting means for a retaining plate connected to a bag wall of a vacuum cleaner filter bag, the mounting means being formed such that it can be connected to, in particular meshed with, the retaining plate, characterised in that the vacuum cleaner additionally comprises an attachment means, which can be used to fix a part of the bag wall of the vacuum cleaner filter bag in place in at least one direction in space during operation of the vacuum cleaner.
By means of the additional attachment means, the position of the vacuum cleaner filter bag can be fixed in the installation space in the vacuum cleaner next to the region of the retaining plate at least on one other part of the bag wall, whereby the installation space can be utilised more effectively, in particular whereby improved unfolding of the folded vacuum cleaner filter bag can be achieved.
The vacuum cleaner can in particular be a vacuum cleaner for use with flat bags.
The region of the vacuum cleaner in which the vacuum cleaner filter bag is arranged during operation of the vacuum cleaner is designated the installation space or dust chamber.
The attachment means can comprise a hole, in particular a through-hole and/or a blind hole. The hole can in particular be a euro hole.
The attachment means can comprise a hook and/or a pin. The hook and/or the pin can for example comprise a plastics material.
The attachment means can comprise a projection and/or a recess in a wall of the installation space in the vacuum cleaner. The projection can for example correspond to an edge of the installation space.
The recess can for example be in the form of a groove. The groove can in particular be formed such that a part of the bag wall, in particular a part of the peripheral weld seam in the case of a flat bag, can be meshed with the groove, in particular force-locked therewith.
The attachment means can be formed such that it can be connected to a mating attachment means of the vacuum cleaner filter bag. As a result, it is particularly simple to fix the part of the bag wall in place. The mating attachment means can in particular comprise one or more of the aforementioned attachment means of a vacuum cleaner filter bag. In other words, the vacuum cleaner filter bag can have one or more of the aforementioned features.
The attachment means of the vacuum cleaner can in particular be arranged in an upper region of the installation space. In other words, the distance of the attachment means from the upper opening in the installation space can be less than the distance of the attachment means from the bottom of the installation space. As a result, it is possible to prevent, at least in some cases, a part of the bag wall from being arranged in the lower region of the installation space, where it settles in front of a suction opening in the vacuum cleaner which is typically arranged at this point. A suction opening can thus be arranged in a lower region of the installation space.
In particular except for positional variations which are due to, for example, the flexibility of the material of the bag wall and/or of the attachment means, the part of the bag wall can thus be substantially fixable in place by means of the attachment means.
By means of the attachment means, the part of the bag wall can also be fixable in place in two or more directions in space, in particular in all directions in space, during operation of the vacuum cleaner.
The invention further provides a vacuum cleaner comprising a vacuum cleaner filter bag. The vacuum cleaner, in particular the attachment means of the vacuum cleaner, and/or the vacuum cleaner filter bag, in particular the attachment means of the vacuum cleaner filter bag, can comprise one or more of the aforementioned features.
In particular, in each case a mating attachment means for the attachment means of the vacuum cleaner and/or the attachment means of the vacuum cleaner filter bag can be provided on the other element.
Additional features and advantages of the invention will be explained below on the basis of the exemplary drawings, in which:

Fig. 2 is a plan view of the front face of another example vacuum cleaner filter bag;
Fig. 3 is a plan view of the front face of another example vacuum cleaner filter bag;
Fig. 4 is a plan view of a front face of another example vacuum cleaner filter bag;
Fig. 5 is a perspective view of an example vacuum cleaner;
Fig. 6 is a perspective view of another example vacuum cleaner;
Fig. 7 is a perspective view of another example vacuum cleaner; and
Fig. 8 is an illustrative graph showing the volume flow rate through the bag wall of an example vacuum cleaner filter bag as a function of the amount of dust stored therein.
Fig. 1 a and 1 b are plan views of the front face and rear face, respectively, of an example vacuum cleaner filter bag 1. Here, the front face is designated as the face of the bag wall on which the retaining plate is arranged. The rear face is denoted as the face opposite the front face.
The vacuum cleaner filter bag 1 is a flat bag in which a first side wall 2 and a second, opposite side wall 7 are welded together around the periphery thereof. The space between the side walls corresponds to the inner space of the vacuum cleaner filter bag 1. A retaining plate 4 is also arranged on the first side wall 2.
The retaining plate 4 comprises a through-hole which is arranged in the region of an inflow opening 5 in the vacuum cleaner filter bag 1. The inflow opening 5 corresponds to a through-opening in the bag wall of the vacuum cleaner filter bag 1, in particular in the first side wall 2, through which opening the air to be cleaned can be conducted into the interior of the vacuum cleaner filter bag 1 during operation of the vacuum cleaner.
In this example, an attachment means in the form of a material strip 6 is shown in the region of the side edge which is at the greatest distance from the retaining plate 4. The material strip 6 can, for example, comprise or consist of a nonwoven material.
To arrange the example vacuum cleaner filter bag in a vacuum cleaner, the retaining plate 4 can first be connected to, in particular meshed with, a corresponding attachment means of the vacuum cleaner. As a result, the part of the bag wall that is connected to the retaining plate 4 can be fixed in place in at least one direction in space during operation of the vacuum cleaner.
The material strip 6 can then, for example, be clamped between a housing seal and the housing cover of the vacuum cleaner and/or connected to a mating attachment means of the vacuum cleaner, such that at least the part of the bag wall of the vacuum cleaner filter bag that is connected to the material strip 6 can additionally be fixed in place in at least one direction in space during operation of the vacuum cleaner.
In other words, the vacuum cleaner filter bag can be set or fixed in its position in the installation space in the vacuum cleaner filter bag in at least two regions, namely in the region of the retaining plate and in the region of the additional attachment means. The bag thus fixed in the appliance can have an improved capacity for storing dust.
Fig. 2 is another plan view of an example vacuum cleaner filter bag 1. In this case, the attachment means is in the form of a hook 8. The other elements of the vacuum cleaner filter bag 1 correspond to the example vacuum cleaner filter bag of Fig. 1. The hook 8 can, for example, be connectable to a mating attachment means of a vacuum cleaner, which means is formed as a hole.
Fig. 3 is a plan view of another example vacuum cleaner filter bag 1, which substantially corresponds to the vacuum cleaner filter bags shown in Fig. 1 and 2. The attachment means in this case, however, is in the form of a pin 9. The pin 9 can, for example, be connected to a mating attachment means of a vacuum cleaner, which means is in the form of a hole, for example a through-hole, and can thus allow a portion of the bag wall of the vacuum cleaner filter bag to be fixed in place during operation of the vacuum cleaner.
Alternatively, a raised portion, for example made of hot-setting adhesive, could also be provided on the bag wall.
Fig. 4 shows another example vacuum cleaner filter bag 1 which substantially corresponds to the vacuum cleaner filter bag shown in Fig. 1. The attachment means in this case, however, is in the form of a material strip 6, which comprises a through-hole 10 in the form of a euro hole. By means of the through-hole 10, the material strip 6 can, for example, be connected to a mating attachment means of a vacuum cleaner, which means is in the form of a hook or a pin.
Fig. 5 is a perspective view of an example vacuum cleaner 11. The vacuum cleaner 11 comprises an installation space 12 in which a vacuum cleaner filter bag is arranged during operation of the vacuum cleaner. A mounting means 14 for a retaining plate of a vacuum cleaner filter bag is arranged in the region of the installation space 12. The mounting means 14 is formed such that it can be meshed with the retaining plate of the vacuum cleaner filter bag, whereby the retaining plate can be fixed in place in at least one direction in space relative to the mounting means 14.
In addition, the vacuum cleaner 11 comprises an attachment means which can be used to fix a part of the bag wall of the vacuum cleaner filter bag in place in at least one direction in space during operation of the vacuum cleaner. In this example, the attachment means is in the form of a projection 15 in the wall of the installation space 12. When the vacuum cleaner filter bag is inserted, a part of the bag wall of the vacuum cleaner filter bag can be placed on the projection 15 or clamped below the projection 15, whereby the part of the bag wall that is on or below the projection 15 can be fixed in place at least in the vertical direction during operation of the vacuum cleaner.
The projection 15 is arranged in an upper region of the installation space 12. As a result, it is possible to prevent, at least in some cases, the fixed part of the bag wall from settling in front of a suction opening in a lower region of the installation space 12.
The installation space 12 can be closed by a housing cover 13. A housing seal can be provided on the upper edge of the installation space 12.
Fig. 6 is a perspective view of another example vacuum cleaner 11, which substantially corresponds to the vacuum cleaner in Fig. 5. In this case, however, the attachment means of the vacuum cleaner is in the form of a hook 16. The hook can, for example, be connectable to a mating attachment means of the vacuum cleaner filter bag, which means is in the form of a hole.
Fig. 7 is a perspective view of another example vacuum cleaner 11, which substantially corresponds to the example vacuum cleaner in Fig. 5. In this case, however, the attachment means of the vacuum cleaner 11 is in the form of an edge 17 which extends over the entire width of the installation space. During operation of the vacuum cleaner, it is possible to retain a part of the bag wall of the vacuum cleaner filter bag behind the edge 17.
Fig. 8 is used for illustrative purposes and shows a graph showing the volume flow rate through the bag wall of a vacuum cleaner filter bag as a function of the dust load given in grams. The measurements on which the graph is based were taken using a Miele S 6210 vacuum cleaner.
The curve 18 shows a measurement curve for a vacuum cleaner filter bag known from the prior art. The curve 19 shows the progression of the volume flow rate for a vacuum cleaner filter bag as shown in Fig. 1a and 1b, i.e. comprising an additional attachment means in the form of a material strip.
As can be seen in Fig. 8, a vacuum cleaner filter bag comprising an additional attachment means has a larger volume flow rate, even with high dust loads, than a vacuum cleaner filter bag which can only be fixed in place in the region of the retaining plate.
The above-described vacuum cleaner filter bags can in particular have one or more folds in the bag wall, for example in order to sell the vacuum cleaner filter bag in a collapsible box. The additional attachment means allows the vacuum cleaner filter bag to be positioned in the vacuum cleaner installation space such that the folded vacuum cleaner filter bag can unfold more effectively in the installation space during operation of the vacuum cleaner.
It goes without saying that the features mentioned in the above-described embodiments are not limited to these specific combinations. In particular, the vacuum cleaner filter bag can be different shapes and/or sizes.
