Claims (11)
1. Apparatur omfattende: en elektrode; en kurveformsgenerator forbundet med elektroden; og en styring konfigureret til at styre kurveformsgeneratoren til: at påtrykke en jævnstrøm (DC) på en axon for en nerve, hvilken DC har en første DC amplitude, som ikke er tilstrækkelig til at producere en nerveledningsblokade i axonen; derefter at forøge, over en første tidsperiode, den første DC amplitude til en anden DC amplitude, som er tilstrækkelig til at producere en nerveblokade i axonen; efter den anden DC amplitude er nået, at påtrykke en højfrekvens vekselstrøm (HFAC) på axonen, hvilken HFAC har en HFAC amplitude, en HFAC frekvens over 1 kHz, og en HFAC strøm, hvilken HFAC er konfigureret til at producere en nerveledningsblokade i axonen; og derefter at reducere, over en anden tidsperiode, den anden DC amplitude til en tredie DC amplitude, som ikke er tilstrækkelig til at producere en nerveblokade i axonen, hvorved der dannes en rampeformet DC blokeringskurveform; hvor styringen er konfigureret til at påtrykke den anden DC amplitude sammen med HFAC over en forudbestemt tid og at påtrykke HFAC til at strække sig forbi påtrykningen af den rampeformede DC blokeringskurveform.
2. Apparatur ifølge krav 1, hvor styringen omfatter en lukketsløjfestyring og styringen er konfigureret til selektivt at styre påtrykningen af én eller flere af DC og HFAC baseret på et styresignal modtaget fra lukketsløjfestyringen.
3. Apparatur ifølge krav 1, hvor elektroden omfatter en fem-knude-punkts elektrode omfattende et sæt af to indvendige knudepunkter for påtrykning af HFAC og et sæt af tre udvendige knudepunkter for påtrykning af DC.
4. Apparatur ifølge krav 1, hvor elektroden omfatter en tre-knude-punkts elektrode, hvor de tre knudepunkter omfatter et sæt bestående af to udvendige knudepunkter til påtrykning af såvel HFAC som DC sammen, og et midterknudepunkt for påtrykning af HFAC alene.
5. Apparatur ifølge krav 1, hvor HFAC frekvensen er imellem 1 og 100 kHz.
6. Apparatur ifølge krav 1, hvor HFAC frekvensen er imellem 5 og 50 kHz.
7. Apparatur ifølge krav 1, konfigureret til at producere en nerveledningsblokade som er én af: en motorisk nerveblokade, en sensorisk nerveblokade og en autonom nerveblokade.
8. Apparatur ifølge krav 1, konfigureret til at producere en nerveledningsblokade som er én af: en sternocleidomastoid blokade, en mediannerveblokade, en phrenisk nerveblokade, en celiac-plexusnerveblokade og en moduleret spasticitetblokade.
9. Apparatur ifølge krav 1, hvor én eller flere af DC og HFAC indledningsvis er ubalanceret med hensyn til ladning og hvor styringen er konfigureret til at styre kurveformsgeneratoren til at balancere, over en tidsperiode, ladningen for en indledningsvis ubalanceret HFAC.
10. Apparatur ifølge krav 1, hvor styringen er konfigureret til at påtrykke nerveledningsblokaden for behandling af symptomer af ét eller flere af følgende: torticollis, neuroma-smerte, hikke, muskulær dystrofi, cancersmerte, post-operativ smerte og slagtilfælde.
11. Apparatur ifølge krav 1, hvor den forudbestemte tid er fra 100 til 200 millisekunder.
