Description

Drive unit for a swinging wing
The invention relates to a drive arrangement for a swivel wing according to the preamble of claim 1.
Such a drive arrangement for a swivel wing being movable relative to its fixed frame, which can be formed, for example, as a tilt window, as a French window, as a ventilation flap or the like, is known from DE 201 20 604 U1. The drive module for the swivel wing being integrated into the connection mechanism comprises an elongated, cuboid drive housing, in which a drive chain being driven into and out of by a gear motor is arranged. Thereby, the drive housing is swivel-mounted over a mounting bracket on the frame profile of the swivel wing, said mounting bracket being arranged on the ends of the housing, while the free end of the drive chain is articulated on the fixed frame. The pivot axis predefined by the mounting bracket runs thereby along a reverse side of the drive housing, whereby the focus of the drive housing has a clear distance from the pivot axis. The weight force of the drive housing thus creates a momentum around the pivot axis, which must be supported over the drive chain. Depending on the constructive conditions, the drive housing with a closed swivel wing can be have an end position being somewhat tilted in relation to the horizontal plane due to the vertical play on the chain side. This can however be unwanted because the impression of a less solid drive solution can be conveyed by the tilting of the drive housing from the horizontal plane and the related play. In addition, the tilting movement of the drive housing can lead, where applicable, to increased wear on the drive mechanism due to the play. DE 202 14 767 U1 discloses an adjusting device for moving a wing of a window, a French window, a ventilation flap or the like relative to a fixed frame with a drive means for driving a chain being only substantially being bendable on one side, with brackets being arranged on the drive means and a free end of the chain and with at least one bearing being arranged in one of the brackets, the bearing axis of which is provided for parallel arrangement to a bearing axis of the wing on the frame, wherein the bracket of the drive means for attaching to a side of the frame or of the wing being removed from the bearing axis of the wing and the bracket being arranged on the free end of the chain is provided, and wherein one of the brackets has a stopper for limiting the swivel range of the free end of the chain or of the drive means.
Furthermore, a chain propulsion drive is known from EP 0 994 231 A1, with a motor, a chain and a housing with a chain outlet. The chain outlet has a moveable outlet guide, which is preferably pivotable around the rotary axis of a chain sprocket. A positioning element impinges on the outlet guide, for example a spring, and moves it into the swivel position. The swivel course can be limited by an adjustable stop element
The object of the invention is to develop a drive arrangement fora swivel wing according to the preamble of claim 1, which can convey the appearance of a solid structure of the drive arrangement
This object is achieved according through the features of claim 1.
The dependent claims describe advantageous possible configurations of the invention.
In order to enable more comfortable operation of the drive arrangement the drive module can be moved automatically by means of an auxiliary drive into the play-eliminating end position. The auxiliary drive is created by means of a spring arrangement through the spring force of which the drive module is continually loaded in the direction of the end position being set by the stopper. Thus, stopping devices, e.g. stoppers that can be set by means of adjusting screws, are used in order to enable an exact adjustment of the provided end position of the drive module to be made while offsetting tolerances.
With an elongate drive module being swivel-mounted over mounting brackets on its ends in a manner known perse, one of two synchronously working load springs can preferably be integrated into each of the two mounting brackets. In a particularly space-saving manner, these can be arranged on these constructively adapted leg springs in the bearing brackets. In this way, these can encircle a supporting sleeve in the joint area of the assigned mounting bracket in a compact arrangement. In doing so, it is possible in a simple way by adapting to the net weight of varying weights of drive modules with varying drive solutions to use varying strengths of springs, through whose spring force the end position of the drive module is reliably absorbed.
So that no additional stoppers are required to limit the relative pivoting of the drive module around the pivot axis being defined by the mounting brackets, these can be advantageously formed by navigating perimeters of a screw-on plate and a supporting plate of the mounting brackets moving with the drive module. As the navigating perimeter, the screw-on plate can be provided with a wedge-shaped stop lug, which engages in a wedge-shaped recess of the supporting plate acting as a stop fork with an appropriately larger wedge angle. It is understood that the stop lug and stop fork must for this purpose be located in a shared rotation plane. The end position of the stop lug in the stop fork, through which the spring force is supported, is preferably tailored such to the structurally defined end position of the drive module that at least one peripheral side of the drive module is positioned in at least approximately horizontal plane.
An embodiment is described below in greater detail in the drawing based on the figures. The figures show the following:

In Figures 1 and 2, a drive arrangement 10 is shown, with which a swivel wing 20 of a window can be pivoted between its closed position and a fully open position (not shown). The rectangular frame of the swivel wing 20 thus encloses in the usual way a light-permeable glass pane and is swivel-mounted along the lower wing profile with a hinge band 21 around a horizontal axis on the lower frame profile of the window frame 22. The upper frame profile of the swivel wing 20 is in the central area by means of a drive chain 11 flexibly connected with the opposite profile of the window frame 22. A chain keep 12 is used to articulate the chain end, said chain keep being fixed on the frame profile of the window frame 22. Due to the articulation of an eyelet-equipped end of the last chain link to a horizontal axis of the chain keep 12, the drive chain 11 is pivotably mounted in the vertical direction. The drive chain 11 is assembled in the known manner from a multitude of chain links being required for its length, said chain links being connected to one another by means of pivot joints formed as bolts. For the drive chain 11, the bolts are arranged parallelly vertical to one another at a constant distance near one of their narrow sides, while adjacent chain links on the opposite narrow side are supported against each other when the drive chain 11 is straightened. This means that the drive chain 11 can only bend flexibly from its straight stretched position towards the bolt side. For this reason, an appropriate chain sprocket 13 engages into the drive chain 11 from the narrow side exhibiting the bolts.
The chain sprocket 13 for its part is rotatably mounted in a drive housing 14, into which the drive chain 11 is guided through a central opening on the housing side opposite the window frame 22. The elongated drive housing 14 being rectangular in cross-section and approximately cuboid overall is for its part attached to the two ends, each by means of a mounting bracket 15 on the front side of the upper profile of the swivel wing 20. As the drive housing 14 is shown with a detached housing cover, the relocation of the inserted drive chain 11 within the drive housing 14 can be clearly recognised. The drive arrangement 10 can also be arranged in the opposite way, wherein the drive housing 14 being pivotably mounted in the mounting bracket 15 is arranged on the window frame 22 and an appropriately adapted chain keep 12 is arranged on the swivel wing 20.
After the passage of the drive chain 11 being fixed at a right angle between the window frame 22 and the drive housing 14 into the drive housing 14, this initially encircles the chain sprocket 13 engaging with it and is thus bent over a guide by about 90 degrees. After this deflection, the drive chain 11 initially extends straight to the right end of the drive housing 14, before it is redirected by 180 degrees and thus extends in the counterdirection again to the central zone of the drive housing 14 being provided with the chain sprocket 13. This space-saving installation of the drive chain 11 is secured by a U-shaped curved deflecting guide in connection with a corresponding guide channel, which is limited by the drive housing 14 itself and the removed housing cover. By means of a rotary drive of the chain sprocket 13 in the clockwise direction through an electrical gear motor 16 not visible arranged in the left half of the drive housing 14, the drive chain 11 can thus be longitudinally extended up to an end position of the drive housing 14, whereby the swivel wing 20 is moved maximally to its Hilly established open position.
If the chain sprocket 13 is rotationally driven by switching the gear motor 16 in the counterclockwise direction, then the drive chain 11 is longitudinally inserted again into the drive housing 14 and re-engages the shown, U-shaped curved unlocked position in the drive housing 14, wherein the swivel wing 20 is moved back into its closed position on the window frame 22 as shown in Fig. 1 via the interim position shown in Fig. 2. In this closed position, the swivel wing 20 is kept closed by means of the gear motor 16, as the mechanical gear of the gear motor is designed to be self-locking, e.g. by means of an integrated worm gear drive. Additional locking mechanisms are thus not required for the swivel wing 20.
When opening and closing the swivel wing 20 via the drive chain 11, the upper frame profile of the swivel wing 20 is moved on a circular orbit around the geometric axis of the hinge band 21. The thus occurring height offset in comparison to the chain keep 12 must be compensated on the Iwo symmetrically identically formed mounting brackets 15 by means of a rotation between the drive housing 14 and the swivel wing 20, so that a tilt-free engagement of the chain sprocket 13 into the drive chain 11 running directly between the chain keep 12 and the drive housing 14 can occur. The adjustment of the momentary turning position between the drive housing 14 and the swivel wing 20 occurs automatically by means of reducing the drive chain 11 with increasing displacement of the chain keep 12, wherein the peripheral side of the drive housing 14 facing the swivel wing 20 is aligned at a right angle to the straight chain direction between the window frame 22 and the drive housing 14 by means of the rotary axis of the chain sprocket 13.
In Fig. 3, the geometric pivot axis 17 is shown, around which the drive housing 14 is swivel-mounted using the mounting brackets 15 relative to the axially parallel frame profile of the swivel wing 20 over the necessary angle range. This pivot axis 17 runs near to the plane rear side of the drive housing 14 and thus at a considerable distance to the centre of gravity curve of the drive housing 14 corresponding approximately to the central longitudinal axis. Through the weight force of the drive housing 14, a momentum is thus created, through which the mounting brackets 15 are loaded around the pivot axis 17 in the clockwise direction. However, this momentum is supported by a spring drive, such that the drive housing 14 is held in its structurally defined end position, in which the upper and parallelly lower peripheral sides of the drive housing 14 are horizontally aligned and thus aligned at right angles to the plane of the swivel wing 20.
As is clear in connection with the separate views of one of the two mirror-symmetrically structured mounting brackets 15 in Figures 4, 5 and 6, the rotary axis 17 being parallel to the geometrical pivot axis of the hinge band 21 is defined by the borehole centre of a mounting ring 15.1, which projects from its underside transversely to the panel plane of a right-angled screw-on plate 15.2. The screw-on plate 15.2 is screwed by two laterally adjacent slotted holes 18 by means of surface contact with the usual fixing screws (not shown) to the front side of the upper frame profile of the swivel wing 20. By means of the screw fastening of the screw-on plate 15.2, the mounting ring 15.1 projecting transversely from said screw-on plate is securely attached, as the mounting ring 15.1 and the screw-on plate 15.2 are produced in one piece, e.g. from aluminium die casting. Furthermore, a wedge-shaped stop lug 15.3 is formed on the visible frontside of the screw-on plate 15.2, said stop lug projecting below the overlap to the mounting ring 15.1 from the lower area of the screw-on plate 15.2, butwith a lateral distance from this.
In the vertical plane of the stop plate 15.3, a supporting plate 15.4 of the mounting bracket 15 is swivel-mounted around the rotary axis 17 aligning with the central longitudinal axis of the mounting ring 15.1. The rotation plane of the supporting plate 15.4 thereby runs at a right angle to the panel plane of the opposite screw-on plate 15.2, and parallel to the front side of the drive housing 14 being covered by latter in the lower corner segment. In the overlapping area between the supporting plate 15.4 and the drive housing 14, these are firmly but easily detachably connected with one another, wherein a multi-sectional connection is secured between the two by means of a fastening screw 19 through a borehole in the supporting plate 15.4.
In the end area facing the screw-on plate 15.2, a hollow cylindrical supporting sleeve 15.5 projects transversely from the broadside of the supporting plate 15.4, the borehole of which is provided with an internal thread (not visible). In this internal thread, in the assembled state, an axle bolt 25 is screwed in with a threaded shaft 25.1, wherein the threaded shaft 25.1 projects from the end of a cylindrical bolt shaft 25.2 with a larger diameter. The bolt shaft 25.2 being provided on the other end with a screw head penetrates a washer 26 and then subsequently the borehole of a mounting bush 27. which for its part clamps down on the borehole of the mounting ring 15.1. Thus the mounting bush 27 on the end facing the supporting sleeve 15.5 has an integrally formed annular collar. In the screwed-in axle bolt 25, the mounting bush 27 is thus held in the mounting ring 15.1 against the annular end face of the supporting sleeve 15.5, whereby its bearing position is secured within the mounting ring 15.1. The supporting sleeve 15.5 is encircled with some circumferential play by the winding of a leg spring 28, which is arranged axially between the annular end faces of the mounting ring 15.1 of the broadside of the supporting plate 15.4. Thus, a spring leg of the rotationally biased leg spring 28 is supported on the supporting plate 15.4 and the otherspringleg is supported on the screw-on plate 15.2. The rotary drive power of the leg spring 28 affecting the supporting plate 15.4 is thus supported by the shorter leg of a wedge-shaped, extending stop fork 15.6. This stop fork 15.6 is formed by two straight delimiting surfaces of a triangular recess of the supporting plate 15.4, which is recessed from the corner segment facing the screw-on plate 15.2. If the supporting plate 15.4 is pressed downwards against the spring force of the leg spring 28 by the drive housing 14, the existing rotary play of the stop lug 15.3 is initially offset between the legs of the stop fork 15.6, before the other leg of the stop fork 15.6 rests on its counterface of the stop lug 15.3, whereby the supporting plate 15.4 is blocked against a turther pivoting. So that the necessary rotary play is also ensured under an unfavourable tolerance situation, the intrinsically square leg basis of the stop fork 15.6 is widened by an approximately half-round hollow wedge 15.7.
With a closed swivel wing 20, the drive housing 14 is thus automatically moved into the set end position on the basis of the auxiliary drive formed by the leg springs 28 being arranged in the brackets 15. As the rotary force of the leg springs 28 remains effective in the end position set by the stop fork 15.6 and the related stop lug 15.3, the drive housing 14 is retained in the constantly identical, stable end position after its displacement.
