Protective cover for a container of fluid, particularly for a compressed-gas bottle, comprising a covering body (5, 6) and a ring (3) that forms an assembly interface designed to be placed between a container and the covering body (5, 6), said cover being characterized in that the ring (3) has an opening (13) around its circumference for positioning it on or removing it from a container.
