Claims (18)
1. Antimikrobielt middel indeholdende et substrat med en kovalent bundet cysteinbestanddel, hvor cysteinbestanddelen er bundet gennem en S-S-bro via et spacermolekyle til substratet; hvor spaceren indeholder en carbonkæde eller en carbonkæde afbrudt af ét eller flere heteroatomer.
2. Antimikrobielt middel ifølge krav 1, hvori spacermolekylet indeholder ét eller flere heteroatomer valgt fra O, S, N, P og Si.
3. Antimikrobielt middel ifølge krav 1 eller 2, hvori kæden er substitueret med én eller flere alkylgrupper, hydroxylgrupper eller alkoxygrupper.
4. Antimikrobielt middel ifølge krav 3, hvori alkylgrupperne er lavere alkylgrupper med 1-6 carbonatomer.
5. Antimikrobielt middel ifølge ethvert af kravene 1-4 med formlen substrat-X-L-S-S-(cysteinbestanddel), hvori - L er et spacermolekyle valgt fra gruppen omfattende (CH2)m, hvor m er 1-20; (CH2CH20)n(CH2)p eller (CH(CH3)CH20)n(CH2)P, hvor n er 1-1000, og p er 1-20; idet (CH2)p-segmentet er bundet til disulfidbroen eller er anbragt mellem (CH2CH20)n- eller (CH(CH3)CH20)-segmenterne; - X er forbindelsesgruppe fra koblingsreaktionen mellem substratet og L.
6. Antimikrobielt middel ifølge ethvert af kravene 1-5 med formlen (1)
i hvilken Ri er substratet X er en kemisk gruppe opnået ved en kemisk koblingsreaktion L er (CH2)m eller (CH2CH20)n(CH2)P m er 1 -8, n er 1 -100, og p er 1 -10 hvor (CH2)P-segmentet, når det forekommer sammen med (CH2CH20)n-segmentet, er anbragt mellem (CH2CH20)n-segmentet og disulfidbindingen.
7. Antimikrobielt middel ifølge krav 1 -6, hvori - L - S - S -(cysteinbestanddel) har én af de følgende strukturer: (2)
i hvilken R2, Fh er hydrogen eller alkyl med 1 til 25 carbonatomer, i en vilkårlig kombination; q er fra 1 -20; og (3)
i hvilken R2, R3, R4 er alkylsubstituenter med 1-25 carbonatomer i en vilkårlig kombination; q har en værdi i intervallet 1-20, hvor alkylsubstituenterne kan være forbundet til aminogruppen ved direkte alkylering eller via en amidbinding indeholdende nitrogenet i cystei nbestanddelen.
8. Antimikrobielt middel ifølge ethvert af kravene 1-7, hvor én af R2 eller R3 som vist i formel (2) i krav 7 er bundet via en amidbinding indeholdende nitrogenet i cysteinbestanddelen.
9. Antimikrobielt middel ifølge ethvert af kravene 1-8, hvori substratet er en fast overflade.
10. Indretning indeholdende et substrat ifølge ethvert af de foregående krav.
11. Indretning ifølge krav 10, hvor indretningen er valgt fra: (a) medicinske indretninger omfattende extrakorporale medicinske indretninger, der kan anvendes ved det ydre af det menneskelige eller animalske legeme, og intrakorporale medicinske indretninger, der kan anvendes i det indre af det menneskelige eller animalske legeme; (b) købmandsvareindretninger, og (c) andre indretninger valgt fra kontaktlinser, kosmetikpakningsprodukter, ferskvandstanke og vandrør, indretninger til opbevaring af produkter eller materialer, hvor bakterievækst på overflader af opbevaringsmateriale er uønsket.
12. Indretning ifølge krav 11, hvor indretningen er valgt fra kunstig hud til brandsår, en dialyseindretning, en øredrænindretning, øreimplantater, en hørehjælpsindretning, hjerte- og lungemaskineslanger, hydrocephalusdræn, en injektionssprøjte, stomier, sårplejeindretninger, suturmaterialer, katetre, dentalprodukter, rør eller udstyr anvendt til parenteral indgivelse af væsker, opløsninger, infusioner, lægemiddelindgivelse, implantater i legemet, insulinpumpe, nerveføringer, pacemakere, afdræning fra det indre af legemet, intraluminale stents omfattende vaskulære og luminale i organer og væv.
13. Anvendelse af et antimikrobielt middel som defineret i krav 1 - 9 til hindring eller inhibering af vækst og/eller formering af mikroorganismer på et substrat og/eller en overflade.
14. Anvendelse ifølge krav 13, ved hvilken mikroorganismerne omfatter Staphylococci spp. (såsom S. aureus, S. epidermidis og andre coagulase-negative Staphylococci-lignende S. saprophyticus); Streptococci spp. (viridans, hæmolytiskog ikke-hæmolytisk, gruppe B og D, S. pneumoniae); Enterococcus spp., S. facealis; Chlostridia (perfringens, botulinum); Enterobacter spp., (Enterobacter cloace, aerogenes), Escherichia coli, Klebsiella spp. (pneumonia), Proteus (mirabilis), Campylobacter, Yersinia, Shigella, Salmonella, Hemophilus (influenza), Neisseriae (meningococcus og gonococcus), Bacteroides (bacteroides spp. og fusobacterium), Pseudomonas (aeruginosa, cepacia), Legionella (pneumophilia), Serratia marcenens, Acinetobacter spp., Morganella morganii, Stenotrophomonas, Citrobacter spp., Corynebacterium spp., Burkholder Cepafia, Acinetobacter spp.; Mycoplasma- arter (M. avian og andre); og fungi såsom Candida spp., C. tropicales, C. parapsilosis, Cryptococcus neoformans, Aspergillus fumigatus, Tricosporun, Blastoschizomyces, Stenotrophomonas maltophilia, Malassezia, Bukholderia cepafia, Aspergillus.
15. Fremgangsmåde til fremstilling af en antimikrobiel indretning, omfattende trinene i) tilvejebringelse af en indretning ii) kovalent binding af en ligand -L-S-S-(cysteinbestanddel) til funktionelle grupper ved overfladen af indretningen, eller til et opløseligt substrat, der efterfølgende immobiliseres på overfladen af indretningen.
16. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 15, ved hvilken: overfladen af indretningen eller det opløselige substrat indeholder et frit radikal Y, og liganden har formen Z-L-S-S-(cysteinbestanddel), hvor Z er en gruppe indeholdende en reaktiv umættet carbon-carbon-binding.
17. Antimikrobielt middel ifølge krav 7, hvori -L-S-(cysteinbestanddelen) omfatter en forbindelse med formlen (2) valgt fra forbindelser med formlen (2), hvor (i) R2 og R3 begge er hydrogen, q=1; (ii) R2 og R3 begge er hydrogen, q=2; (Hi) R2 og R3 begge er methyl, q=1; og (iv) R2 er hydrogen, og R3 er acetyl, q=1.
18. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 15, ved hvilken: overfladen af indretningen indeholder en funktionel gruppe Y, og liganden har formen Z-L-S-S-(cysteinbestanddel), hvorefter en reaktion mellem de funktionelle grupper Y og Z giver koblingsgruppen X, der kovalent binder liganden til substratet R1
hvor X, Y og Z er i overensstemmelse med én af de følgende: 5
hvor Y- og Z-grupperne i (a) til (p) kan ombyttes mellem R1 og liganden til at give det samme X, og hvor i (e) og (f) den til at begynde med opnåede imin reduceres til det sekundære aminlink med NaCNBHs.
