Description
ARRANGEMENT OF PUMPS FOR THE CLEANING THEREOF
This invention relates to the field of cleaning liquid pumps, for example for food, such as more particularly milk. Such pumps are known in prior art, in particular by German patents DE10043668 or DE20313360, or American patent application U52004/011647 or British patent GB852580.
As such document DE10043668 describes a liquid pumping system that comprises a jacket connected to a pressure pipe. The jacket acts as a filter that encapsulates a pumping element qui is connected to the pressure pipe. A suction orifice made in the jacket of the pumping system is connected to the second pumping element.
Document DE20313360 also describes a liquid pump that comprises a casing, a suction connector to which is associated a suction zone located on a portion of casing, with said suction zone being provided with through slots, a pressure connector in fluidic communication with the suction connector by the intermediary of a pumping device placed in the casing, a motor intended to drive the pumping device and a control device intended to control the pumping device and the motor. The suction connector is further associated with a suction tube that is mounted movably with respect to the suction connector in such a way that a suction volume of the suction connector can be distributed over the suction tube and the suction zone.
The invention has for purpose to provide liquid pumps with arrangements that make it possible to prevent them from rotating during the washing phases. It is as such possible to not have automatic machines or special installations, in particular in the washing station, in such a way as to authorise the rotation of the pumps during the cleaning.
This purpose is achieved thanks to a pump that comprises two side grooves on the front and back faces of the pump body with a bottom and top inner communication between these two grooves.
Advantageously, the bottom and top inner communication is in the form of two communication grooves between said side grooves.
Preferably, said bottom and top inner communication connects the side grooves with the liquid inlet and outlet.
The invention very particularly relates to centrifuge pumps, but the arrangement hereinabove can apply to any other type of pump suited for this type of arrangement, such as MGM35 pumps.
The invention also relates to the manufacture of the pumps hereinabove consisting in arranging two side grooves on the front and back faces of the pump body with a bottom and top inner communication between these two grooves.
The invention further relates to a device comprising several pumps of the type described hereinabove.
The invention is very particularly adapted for offering an effective means for washing pumps in dairies, where the pumps as well as the pipes and tanks have to be cleaned after each use.
Other advantages and characteristics of the invention shall appear in the examples hereinafter wherein reference will be made to the annexed drawings wherein: - Figure 1 shows a general view of a duplex pumping system with its washing members. - Figures 2 and 3 show a cross-section view of a pump provided with the arrangement according to the invention.
Figure 1 shows a general view of a duplex pumping system comprising two pumps (100, 200), a centrifuge pump (100) and a pump (200).
The system comprises a first circuit comprising an inlet duct (101) opening into the inlet nozzle (102) of the centrifuge pump (100). The outlet of the pump (100) opens into a duct (103) that communicates with the main outlet (104) of the system, as well as with a second duct (201) opening into the inlet of the pump (200).
The primary circuit comprises a non-return valve (105).
The outlet of this pump (200) is connected to the outlet of the pumping system by a duct (202).
The secondary circuit comprises a non-return valve (203).
The outlet (103,104) of the main circuit comprises purge outlets controlled by purge valves (2,4).
Likewise, the secondary circuit also comprises purge outlets controlled by valves (1, 3,5,6).
During the pumping, the valves (1, 2) are closed as well as all of the purge valves (3, 4, 5, 6). Then during the washing, the valves (1, 2) are opened in such a way as to allow for the inlet and the outlet of the washing liquid, for example comprised of hot water and soda, and all of the purge valves (3, 4, 5,6) are closed. After the cleaning, all of the purge valves (3,4, 5, 6) are opened again.
Figures 2 and 3 show cross-section views of a centrifuge pump able to be implemented in the system of figure 1. This pump comprises two side grooves (7, 8) and a bottom and top inner communication being in the form of two communication grooves (9,10) between said side grooves (7, 8).
