Abstract

Evacuation system for evacuation of, for example, ships and buildings in event of fire or gas leak, for example, with a number of detectors intended to send a signal in such an emergency situation to activate a number of signal transmitters in order to indicate an escape route. The system comprises control means designed to receive signals from at least two of the detectors, and to generate control signals on the basis of these received signals for at least one signal transmitter, in order to indicate an alternative escape route. The evacuation time will be reduced significantly because the victims will be able to find a safe escape route more quickly than with the known systems. <IMAGE>
