Abstract

The light guide consists of a panel of a material which transmits visible light, such as glass or a polymer, having one face shaped by laser beam to produce motifs with alternating depressions and projections. The depressions are in the form of grooves 5 - 50 microns deep, and the projections in the form of strips on either side, with the average size of the motifs between 100 and 400 microns.
