Abstract

A slab-like building element (1) made of a pressure-resistant material has projections (3 and 4) on both sides of the mid-plane (2). The projections (3) on the side of the slab that face the building (5) occupy a smaller surface than the projections (4) on the side of the slab opposite to the building (5) and act as spacers. The projections (4) on the side of the slab opposite to the building (5) are cambered and form communicating cavities (6) between the building (5) and the building element (1). Thanks to its special design, this building element has a series of advantages. Among others, it allows steam to be perfectly evacuated into the open air, drying the wall of a building, when it is used on the outer side of foundations. The building element (1) has in addition a high static stability, improving its protecting effect on the one hand and increasing its application range on the other hand.
