Abstract

The drainage fitting, preferably intended for shower trays, has a housing (1) provided with a drainage pipe (34), into which housing an immersion pipe (26) is inserted. A flanged ring (8), bearing on the edge of the drainage aperture of the shower tray, is screwed to the housing. The drainage fitting is designed to be so economical of space that the fixing screws (10) can be fixed laterally adjacent to the immersion pipe (26) in the upper part of the housing. In order to achieve this, the inlet aperture (16) in the flanged ring (8) and the immersion pipe (26) are designed to be oval in cross-section. The insertion channels for the fixing screws are arranged adjacent, in the flanged ring (8), to the long sides extending parallel to the long axis of the inlet aperture (16). <IMAGE>
