Description
The invention relates to a vibration generator with at least one feedback Discharge tube operating at least temporarily in the lower part of the / a-t / g characteristic will. In particular, generators for generating breakdown vibrations, e.g. B. a sawtooth voltage or the like, work temporarily in this lower area of the characteristic curve.
Bekannt-Amplifier tubes, even if they are of the same type, give way just in the lower area the characteristic curve from piece to piece sometimes strongly differ from one another. Corresponding characteristics for two identical tubes are in -der Fig. ι the Drawing shown. As this figure shows, one is particularly special in the start-up current area strong discrepancies between the two characteristics can be determined. These differences in the characteristics are particularly disturbing where the vibration generator, ζ. B. for measuring purposes, comparison times are to be obtained, which are then fed to a measuring device. So is for example in the so-called blocking oscillator circuit for the breakover frequency, it is decisive when on the rise the voltage on the breakover capacitor and thus on the grid of the tube in the circuit of the The feedback factor becomes greater than 1. Known-

A very specific steepness of the tube characteristic, which is indicated in FIG. 1 by the two tangents 1 and 2, belongs to this condition. With strong feedback in the transformer and with tubes with such different characteristics, the point at which the feedback becomes greater than ι then differs, for example by the amount AUi.
Fig. 1 entsteht. According to the invention, the differences that exist due to the scattering of pieces are to be rendered as harmless as possible. This can be done according to the invention in that in the cathode circuit of the discharge tube, that is to say the oscillation generating tube operated with feedback, a Richtleitef, which the cathode with a certain negative potential compared to the anode supply, z. B. with a positive anode voltage supply with the zero potential, and that a preferably high resistance is provided via which the cathode is connected to an even more negative potential, the resistance value and negative potential compared to the characteristic of the tube to be used so matched are that the lower area of the characteristic is greatly flattened, namely that this results in that the minimum steepness necessary for the operation of the vibration generator is only reached when the anode current assumes a considerable value. Has. According to the invention, means are provided which flatten the lowest area of the characteristic curve so much that the feedback conditions are definitely no longer met, that is, the lower part of the characteristic curve, as line 3 (FIG. 1) shows, should be be flattened so that the steepness of this deformed characteristic curve is less than that of tangents 1 and 2. The oscillation can therefore only start at a higher anode current (point P in Fig. 1), and experience has shown that the tube characteristics of similar tubes are far less at high anode current scatter, the measure according to the invention succeeds in building vibration generators, in particular tilting vibration generators, with greater frequency constancy than before (AU 2 <LA U 1 ) . In this figure, a blocking oscillator circuit is shown, in which the tube 1 provided for generating the oscillations is operated in a feedback circuit. In the exemplary embodiment according to the invention, the cathode of this tube is connected to zero potential via a directional conductor, it being assumed that the cathode would be at zero potential in a conventional circuit. In addition, according to the arrangement according to the invention, the cathode is connected to a negative potential - U v via the high resistance W. The magnitude of the resistance and the negative bias voltage are matched to one another in such a way that — since the internal resistance of the tube Rö 1 is negligible compared to this cathode resistance W — a characteristic curve according to line 3 iti. Fig. 1 arises. The breakover vibrations themselves are generated in a known manner via the resistance capacitor circuit Wk and Ck in connection with the transformer Ui located in the grid circuit. The circuit also shows a directional conductor R 2 , which is used to limit the amplitudes of the breakover oscillations to a certain value so that the frequency constancy of the breakover oscillation generator is largely constant even with mains voltage fluctuations, i.e. with fluctuations in the anode potential Ua and fluctuations in the bias potential Uy is improved. It should be mentioned at this point that it is particularly advantageous to make both voltages dependent on one another in a manner known per se, that is to say, for example, to take both voltages from one and the same mains transformer via a rectifier, so that the voltage changes are proportional and thus mutually compensated.
The vibration generator according to the invention was based on a locking oscillator toggle switch explained, at the same time measures are provided to limit the amplitude of the generated Tilting vibrations. Of course, the measures according to the invention also work without this additional stabilization means a significant improvement in the constancy of the working frequency with it, which could fluctuate due to the piece scatter of the discharge vessel used.
With the exception of pure relaxation generator, the invention can of course be used everywhere wo zui "generation of vibrations at least temporarily a discharge vessel in the area of the lower part of the / a - [/ g characteristic is operated, i.e. with all the circuits, at i ° o which the anode current increases to a very specific amount over a certain period of time or a tube should oscillate repeatedly.
