Die Erfindung betrifft- einen .hölzernen Schuhabsatz, :der aus mehreren--Teilen
zusammengesetzt ist, in welchem die Holzfaser teilweise senkrecht oder annähernd
senkrecht zur Bodenfläche verläuft, teilweise aber quer zu dieser Richtung. Eine
im wesentlichen senkrecht zur Bodenfläche verlaufende Lage der Holzfasern im Hauptteil
des Absatzes ist nötig, um -den Absatz genügend belastungsfähig zu machen, während
die Faserlage quer ;hierzu in den anderen Holzteilen des Absatzes sich daraus ergibt,
daß. diese Teile am Hauptteil durch Nagelung befestigt werden sollen. -Es hat sich
nun in der Praxis. herausgestellt, daß auch eine solche wechselnde Faserlage in
:den Absatzteilen, verbunden mit der üblichen Verl:eimung der Absatzteile untereinander,
in -Fällen besonderer Beanspruchung keine völlige Sicherheit gegen ein Brechen des
Absatzes' gbwährt.' Deshalb ist bereits vorgeschlagen worden, den mit der Söhle
zu verbindenden Oberteil des Absatzes und seinen Hauptteil durch eine zusätzliche
Verzahnungsverbindung zu sichern. Diese Ausgestaltung verhindert zwar ein Brechen
des. Absatzes, wenn - z. B. durch Einsinken des Absatzes in eine Straßenbahnschiene
- eine Abschertendenz am oberen Ende des Absatzes-auftritt, hilft aber nichts, wenn
eine solche Abschertendenz nahe dem unteren Ende dies Absatzes entsteht, z. B. durch
Anstoßen des unteren Absatzendes an einen vorspringenden Kopfpflasterstein oder

Zur Behebung dieses Mangels -steht erfindungsgemäß der Mittelteil

Verzahnungsverbindung. Diese fortschrittliche Ausgestaltung sichert auch den Unterteil-
des Absatzes gegen Abgeschertwerden. . Durch die Anbringung des Unterteils mit waagerechter
Holzfaserung und von zur Nagelfesthaltung ausreichender Dicke wird auch der Lauffleck
sicher am Absatz gehalten. Im Gegensatz dazu halten, wie die Praxis gezeigt hat,
Nägel in Absatzteilen .aus Holz, deren Fasern senkrecht zum Erdboden stehen, wodurch
die Nägel in Richtung der Holzfasern eingetrieben sind, nie, so daß der Lauffleck
