In manchen Fällen besteht sogar die Gefahr, daß die Schleifen irgendwo hängen bleiben und dadurch ein Straucheln hervorrufen können. Es sind daher schon verschiedentlxch Vorschläge zur Halterung der Schnürsenkelenden am gebundenen Schuh gemacht worden, die sich in der Praxis aber nicht durchgesetzt haben, weil sie sich teils als aufwendig, teils als lästig bei der Benutzung erwiesen haben.The loose ends of a shoelace tied in a bow can be annoying, sometimes even dangerous.
