Oft sind die Karussellebenen zwar drehbar, aber nicht für sich allein, sondern nur zusammen mit anderen Ebenen und Halterungsmodulen. Wenn zwei oder mehrere Käufer an so einem Karussellständer drehen, kann es passieren, daß der eine dem anderen das Teil wegdreht, das dieser gerade betrachtet. Es muß dann einer warten, bis der andere mit dem Betrachten fertig ist. Häufig geschieht aber ein Wegdrehen auch unbeabsichtigt, insbesondere dann, wenn sich die Käufer auf verschiedenen Seiten des Ständers befinden.
