Wie hieraus zu ersehen ist, besteht der Apparat aus einem Kochbehälter A, welcher ziemlich seicht und im unteren Theil halbcylindrisch gestaltet ist, indessen im Uebrigen beliebige Gestalt und Gröfse haben kann. Im unteren Theile des Behälters ist eine Schnecke B und oben (aber noch in dem Niveau des Wassers) eine durchlochte Platte C angebracht. Die Löcher dieser Platte sind so grofs bemessen, dafs sie nur Wasser, aber keine festen Theile durchgehen lassen. Die Welle B1 der Schnecke B geht durch den Apparat hindurch (Fig. 1) und wird von aufsen z. In einem Gefäfs N wird diese abgeschiedene Flüssigkeit wiederum gesammelt, und scheidet sich dort das OeI von dem mitgeführten Wasser ab, so dafs es leicht abgeschöpft werden kann. Das Wasser kann durch eine Pumpe O (Fig. 1) beständig aus dem Gefäfs N wieder entnommen und durch die Rohrleitung O1 O2 oberhalb der durchlochten Platte C wieder in das Gefäfs A zurückgeführt werden. Hierdurch wird der Wasserstand in dem Gefäfs stets annähernd gleich erhalten, und eine continuirliche Strömung oberhalb der durchlochten Platte nach dem Fettablauf hin erzielt.In the container A itself, the oil or the oil rises to the surface and is collected here above the perforated plate C; the plate holds back solid components.
