so can with inductive load of the anode circuit through this switching means
the case occur that the discharge tube when the anode circuit is closed again

to connect in parallel, whose capacitance value is just so large that the short

To explain the circuit arrangement according to the invention is in
Fig. R shows an embodiment in which a so-called discharge tube
Electricity gate is used. In the anode circuit of the discharge tubeRö there is a relayP,
that when a voltage Sp is applied to the grid of the discharge tube Rö for response
should come. The grid of the discharge tube Rö has the resistance Wi
applied. Stress - Ug as a preload. If the voltage surge Sp occurs, so
ignites the discharge tube Rö, to whose anode the voltage -I- Ua is applied.
As a result, the voltage applied to the anode-cathode of the discharge tube Rö drops
the running voltage Ub from. The one lying in the anode circuit of the discharge tube Rö
Relay P has become excited and has the switching process, not shown here
triggered. In addition, the relay P has the anode circuit by opening its contact
the discharge tube tube interrupted. The relay P is therefore de-energized and closes
with its contact p again the anode circuit. Here is due to) the inductance
of the relay P caused a voltage surge by self-induction, which with the voltage
-h Ua such an anode voltage results that the discharge tubes tube, even if
the voltage surge Sp no longer occurs again at the grid of the discharge tube tube
ignites. This is undesirable. It is therefore to avoid backfire to the relay
P a capacitor C connected in parallel. The capacitance value of this capacitor
is dimensioned so large that the induced voltage is destroyed by it. on the other hand
but its capacitance value is so small that there is a response delay of the relay
P does not cause. A graphic representation of the processes is given in FIG.
In the idle state, as the upper part of FIG. 2 reveals, is on the grid of the
Discharge tube Rö the voltage - Ug. Occurs after a time t1 during which
The voltage -I- Ua is applied to the discharge tube Rö, the voltage surge Sp is briefly
on, the discharge tube Rö ignites and the voltage Uca drops to the burning voltage
Ub from, and this voltage remains during the time tpl (response time of the relay
P) stand. Is then during the time tp, as a result of the response of the relay P the
Contact p is open, so the discharge tube is extinguished. When closing again
of the contact p after the time t, 2 has elapsed, there is a resultant at the discharge tube Rö
Voltage from the voltage Ud induced by the self-induction of the relay P.
This voltage causes the discharge tube to re-ignite, so that the voltage
at the discharge tube Rö 'again drops to the operating voltage Ub. This just
The processes described occur if the capacitor C is not present.
If, on the other hand, the capacitor C is connected in parallel to the relay P, then -reaches at
when contact p is closed again, the voltage that then occurs is not the same as in the lower,
Part of Fig. 2 value represented by the solid curve, but only increases
to point r and then follows the dotted line. A flashback
the discharge tube tube does not occur.
