Die Erfindung bezieht sich. auf Scheinwerfer für Kraftfahrzeuge und bezweckt, beim Erlöschen eines Scheinwerfers an Kraftfahrzeugen den Fahrern entgegenkommender Fahrzeuge trotzdem die wirkliche Breite des ihnen entgegenkommenden Fahrzeuges erkennen zu lassen, ohne daß außerhalb des Scheinwerfers am betreffenden Fahrzeug, außerhalb oder in der Nähe des erloschenen Scheinwerfers andere selbstleuchtende oder künstlich erleuchtete Lichter angeordnet sind, wie dieses bei den bisher bekannten Vorrichtungen der Fall ist. Diese bekannten Vorrichtungen haben durchweg den Nachteil, daß sie nicht den erloschenen Scheinwerfer als solchen erkennen lassen, und erwecken zum großen Teil den Eindruck, als ob das für den Scheinwerfer aufleuchtende kleine Licht zu einem anderen Fahrzeug gehört. Dieses kann sich verheerend auswirken, wenn z. B. bei Rechtsverkehr der linke Scheinwerfer erloschen ist. Auch ringförmig um den Scheinwerfer angeordnete Reflexkörper sind bekannt.
