Antenne für schnurlose Telefone
5Antenna for cordless phones
5
Antennas must fulfill several functions: firstly, they must be flexible and able to withstand high mechanical loads, and secondly, they must only have minimal losses due to attenuation. They must also have options for mechanical fastening. Conventional antennas consist of a large number of parts that are connected to one another, for example by gluing or snapping. Screws or clamps are used to fasten them in the housing of a device.
The present invention is therefore based on the object of demonstrating an antenna for cordless telephones which, on the one hand, consists of as few parts as possible and, on the other hand, is designed in such a way that it allows easy attachment within the cordless telephone.
This object is achieved in that the antenna is formed by a core consisting of a wire coil partially coated with plastic and by a sheath that can be pushed onto this core, with holding elements being provided on the sheath for securing the antenna.
By designing the antenna in this way, the number of parts can be reduced considerably, whereby the remaining two parts can be designed in such a way that additional fastening by means of adhesive or locking means is not necessary. By designing the casing accordingly, the antenna can also be easily fastened inside the cordless telephone. To fasten the antenna inside the cordless telephone, the casing can, for example, consist of a cylindrical body that is closed at one end and a flange connected to it, whereby the flange is connected to the cylindrical body at its end.
With such a design, the projections provided on the flange and facing each other can engage in a correspondingly contoured receptacle, so that the antenna can be attached using a machine. In order to achieve a forced centering of the core in relation to the shell, the core can have a conical end region that works together with a conical receptacle that is adapted to its shape and provided in the area of the flange.
The invention will be explained in more detail below using an embodiment.

Figure 3 shows the assembled, partially sectioned antenna in a perspective view.
The wire coil 1 shown in Figure 1 and tuned to a given frequency consists of a plurality of turns 2 that are evenly spaced from one another. A free end 3 of the wire coil 1 is angled several times and serves to electrically connect the antenna to the high-frequency part arranged, for example, on a circuit board in a cordless telephone.
Durch Umspritzen der Draht-As can be seen from Figure 2, the antenna 4 consists of a core 5 and a sheath 6 that surrounds the core 5. The core is formed by the wire coil 1 that is overmolded with an elastic plastic. By overmold- ing the wire

5Coil 1 with plastic ensures that the distance between the turns always remains constant. The end area 7 of the core 5 serves to hold the free wire coil end 3 and is conical in shape.

The casing 6 has a cylindrical body 8 that is closed at one end and a flange 9 connected to it. Angled projections 10 that point towards one another are provided on the flange 9 and are used to attach the antenna to the circuit board (not shown here). The casing 6 is designed to taper conically in the area of the flange 9.
As can be seen from Figure 3, when the antenna is assembled, i.e. when the core 5 is inserted into the casing 6, the two parts are centered relative to one another due to the conical design of the core 5 and the casing 6.
