Die an den bekannten Liegesessel und -Stühlen oft aufwendig befestigten Fußstützen sind zur Liegeposition meist umständlich zu handhaben und erlauben in der Regel keine optimale Beinlagerung. Andrerseits wird bei solchen Liegen die Möglichkeit einer normalen Sitzstellung vermißt.The footrests that are often attached to the well-known recliners and chairs are often difficult to use when lying down and generally do not allow for optimal leg support. In FiR.1 ist eine Liege mit starrem Untergestell in eingeschwenkter Sitzposition im Längsschnitt dargestellt. Das= höckerartige Gestell besteht aus den vorderen, aufsteigenden Holmen 15 und den zunächst im leichten Bogen und dann im stumpfen Winkel abfallenden Holmen 5, die durch Querholme fest miteinander verbunden sind. Gleichzeitig verschiebt sich der Sitz 26 samt angewinkelter Rückenlehne 29 mittels seiner seitlich überstehenden Auflage 28 entlang der nach rückwärts geneigten Holme 5 bis. zum Anschlag auf Querholm 54, an dem eine kippbare Auflage 35 zur Einstellung unterschiedlicher Schräglagen zusätzlich angeordnet ist.. Die Materialschwächung kann u.a. auch durch Quetschung erfolgen. Im übrigen ist dieser Stöpsel 49 mit dem Gelenk 39 bzw. mit den seitlichen Zapfen 45 des Gelenks kombinierbar; derart, daß diese Kombination eine sichere Fixierung der jeweiligen Sitz- und Liegeposition ermöglicht.
