AbscheideuirbelrohrSeparator tube
The invention relates to a device for separating the residue water from sieved, still wet plastic ground material or granulate.
The increasingly important recycling of waste materials, especially plastic waste, requires material that is as pure and clean as possible. The cleanliness of the material can only be achieved by washing and the unity of the material by flotation. In both types of treatment, the plastic ground material is wet despite the water being sieved off and must be dried for further processing.
The object of the invention is to further dewater this sieved, still wet plastic ground material in order to reduce the energy required for drying.
According to the invention, the wet plastic grinding material is fed by a conveyor fan, which is required anyway to convey the sieved wet plastic grinding material, to a separating vortex tube in which a large part of the water still contained after sieving is removed.
Weitere Einzelheiten sind dem in den Zeichnungen dargestellten Ausführungsbeispiel zu entnehmenFurther details can be found in the embodiment shown in the drawings

The separation of the sieved, still wet plastic ground material from the water still contained is achieved by the centrifugal forces that arise when the air carrying the wet plastic is introduced tangentially at high speed into the uppermost cylindrical part of the air tube (1) designed as a sieve body via the feed tube (6) and set in a rotary motion.
The centrifugal forces lead the plastic parts and the water they contain to the wall of the air pipe (1) and the water escapes through the sieve openings and the plastic parts release their kinetic energy and slide out into the open through the funnel of the bottom outlet nozzle (4).
The water that escapes through the air pipe (1) designed as a sieve body is collected by the jacket pipe (2) and drained away via the water drain pipe (3).
The lighter conveying air is discharged through an immersion pipe (7) protruding from above through the cover (8).
By adjusting the control flap (5) using the lever (9), the ratio between the immersion pipe (7) and the bottom discharge nozzle (4) can be adjusted and adapted to requirements.
