Vorrichtung zum Spülen eines KanalesDevice for flushing a canal
The subject of the present invention is a device for flushing a channel according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
Channels with a temporary or permanent low inflow tend to become filled or blocked by deposits. Even in channels with a continuous inflow, deposits can form that cannot be removed by the flowing water. To clean such channels, a large amount of water must flow through them sporadically over a short or long period of time. This is capable of washing away the deposited substances. It is also possible to clean channels manually or automatically using an automatic cleaning system that is fed from a vehicle. In all of the known cases, external energy is required for this cleaning.
Hier will die Erfindung Abhilfe schaffen. This is where the invention aims to remedy the situation.
The invention, as characterized in the claims, solves the problem of creating a device for flushing a canal, which automatically and sporadically flushes a larger amount of retained water through the canal. This problem is solved by the measures in the characterizing part of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments of the invention are defined in the dependent claims.
The excess pressure built up by the bell in the head of the siphon as the water level rises prevents the water from flowing out of the shaft continuously, i.e. without a siphoning effect, when there is little water flowing into the shaft. The means that keep the bell submerged serve to ensure that the siphon can be filled to an adjustable level, thus making a larger amount of water available for flushing and the siphon starting immediately when triggered.
When the target level is reached, a simple mechanism allows the bell to swing upwards or surface, allowing the air to escape from the head space of the siphon, causing it to start up suddenly and continuously empty the shaft into the sewer up to the level of the siphon. The siphon is triggered, i.e. the venting of the siphon head, by a float, which uses a lever system to pull back a cam that holds the bell submerged. The three levers, which are connected to one another in an articulated manner, enable the siphon's ventilation to be triggered precisely, reproducibly and with little friction.
Es zeigen:The invention is explained in more detail using an illustrated embodiment. Shown are:

In Figures 1 to 4, 1 is a shaft with a round or square cross-section, into which water flows through a pipe 3 arranged at the top. Inside the shaft 1 there is a siphon 5, consisting of a leg 7, which opens at the lower end into a siphon 9, which connects the siphon to a channel 11, and a leg 13, the lower end of which opens at the bottom 14 of the shaft 1 and parallel to the water level WS 1. Between the channel 11 and the siphon 9 there is a drain channel 16 with a cover 17, which connects the channel 11 and the shaft 1. An emergency overflow pipe 2 can also be provided in the shaft 1, which is connected to the channel 16. The drain channel 16 is used to empty the shaft if the siphon fails and to be able to carry out cleaning work.
Anstelle eines Schwimmers kannThe two siphon legs are connected to each other by a pipe bend 19. A nozzle 21 is attached to the pipe bend 19, which is connected to a vent hose or pipe 23. The other end of the vent hose 23 is connected to the bottom 25 of a bell 27, the opening 29 of which is essentially parallel to the water surface. A float 31 can be arranged on the side of the bell 27. Instead of a float,
die Glocke 27 hohlwandig ausgeführt sein, damit ihr spezifisches Gewicht geringer ist als dasjenige von Wasser.the bell 27 must be hollow-walled so that its specific weight is lower than that of water.
A check valve 33 is installed in the ventilation hose 23, in the bell 27 or in the nozzle 21, which prevents the passage of air from the bell 27 to the lifter 5.
The bell 27 is attached to the end of a lever 35 that can be pivoted about a fixed axis A. A retaining cam 37 presses from above on the base 25 of the bell 27 or the lever 35 and holds it in the pivoted-down position regardless of the water level in the shaft 1.
Vor dem Aufstau von Wasser im Schacht 1 ist der Wasserspiegel auf der Höhe WSBefore the water is dammed in shaft 1, the water level is at the height WS
There is also water in the siphon 9, up to a height of WS 01 (Fig.l).
In Figure 2, the shaft is filled with water up to the opening 29 of the bell 27. In the siphon 5, the water level WS 2 is at the same height, since air can escape from the head space 39 in the pipe bend 19 through the ventilation hose 23. The level of the water in the siphon 9 is unchanged.
Figure 3 shows the fully filled shaft 1 with a water level of WS 3. In the bell 27, held completely submerged in water by the retaining cam 37, the water level has risen to the level of WS 4. In the siphon 9, the water level has therefore changed to WS 03. The water level in the siphon pipe 13 has risen close to the lower apex 41 of the pipe bend 19. In this filling state, no water can flow through the siphon.
If the water level rises above the mark WS 3, the retaining cam 37 is retracted by a sensing device (not shown in Figures 1 to 4), so that the bell 27 pivots upwards about the pivot axis A due to its own buoyancy, the air in the bell and/or the float 31. Air can escape from the head space 39 in the pipe 19 through the opening 29 in the bell 27, which is now above the water level WS. This eliminates the counterpressure on the water surface in the pipe 13, so that the head space of the siphon is completely filled with water and the siphon 5 can start. Water is sucked out of the shaft 1 at full siphon power until the water level WS 1 is reached and air is sucked into the siphon.
If the water level drops rapidly, the bell 27 follows this again and locks into its locked position on the retaining cam 37 (Figure 1).
To trigger the lifter 5 by the retaining cam 37, a lever arrangement according to Figures 5 and 6 can be provided.
festen Schwenkachse 55 angelenkten zweiten zweiarmigen Hebels 57 gelenkig verbunden.
In Figure 5, a release float 43 is connected to one end 45 of a two-armed lever 49 that can pivot about a fixed axis 47. The second end 51 of the two-armed lever 49 is connected in an articulated manner via a connecting rod 53 to the axis 67 of a second two-armed lever 57 that is articulated on a fixed pivot axis 55. The end 61 of the lever 57 articulated on the fixed axis 55 is designed as a retaining cam 37 that presses on the bell 27. The release float 43 can be connected directly to the lever 49 or to the latter via a connecting rod 63.
Figure 5 shows the lever arrangement with the bell fixed in the lower position.
As soon as the release float 43 is raised by the increased water level WS when the shaft 1 is fully filled, the lever 49 pivots clockwise until the pivot point at the end 51 of the lever 49 coincides with the pivot point at the end 55 of the lever 57. The lever 57 can now rotate with the cam 37 and release the bell 27. The end 61 acting as the retaining cam 37 is pivoted away from the bell 27 and allows it to rise due to its own buoyancy or the buoyancy of the float 31.
The retaining cam 37 can be designed as a latch so that the bell 27 immediately re-engages when the shaft 1 has been emptied.
Instead of the lever arrangement described in Figures 5 and 6, an optical or electronic water level sensor can be used, which pulls the retaining cam 37 out of the area of the bell 27 via an electromechanical or pneumatic device.
