Die Erfindung betrifft ©ine Oboe gemäß Oberbegriff des Schutzanspruches 1.The invention relates to an oboe according to the preamble of claim 1.
The oboes known to date have the disadvantage that they do not support the f-~ over their entire range over more than 15 equal tones. The lower tones have a full sound, while the higher tones, whose tones are located near the head end of the oboe and which are therefore also referred to as "short" tones, have a low tonal volume and a different, harder and more open tone color. This is caused, among other things, by the row-like arrangement of the tone hole bores along the body's long axis, which means that each partial frequency is represented with a different dominance in each tone.

From EP 88 106 318.4 of the same applicant, an oboe is known which already avoids the above-described prior art components. In this known oboe, the upper part is provided with an increased wall thickness.
The invention is based on the object of providing an oboe that can be played with a slightly resonating resonator, whereby the timbre and sound volume are balanced, full-sounding and covered over a large tonal range.
This problem is solved by the signifying part of claim 1.
According to the invention, at least one tone hole in the upper part of the oboe is arranged at an angle to the perpendicular to the central axis of the instrument. The advantage that can be achieved through the angled arrangement of the tone hole and the associated increase in the depth of the corresponding tone hole chimney is primarily that the "short" tones are better integrated into the entire tone scale in terms of sound due to a changed partial tone structure. According to the invention, the "short" tones are even more balanced in relation to the other tones than in the EP application mentioned, and thus a more harmonious tone color and volume is achieved across the entire register of the oboe.
f Des weiteren wird durch die entlang der Längsachse des In-' ' 25 strumentes jeweils in Richtung Resonator oder Instrumenten-f Furthermore, the direction of the sound waves along the longitudinal axis of the instrument in the direction of the resonator or instrument

Weitere Eigenschaften und Zweckmäßigkeiten der Erfindung ergeben eich anhand der Beschreibung eines AusfUhrungebeispieles anhand der Figuren. Ee zeigt &igr;Further properties and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the description of an embodiment based on the figures. It shows &igr;
Fig. 1 einen echematischen Längsschnitt der erfindungsgemäßen Oboe, undFig. 1 is a schematic longitudinal section of the oboe according to the invention, and
Fig. 2 is an enlarged partial section of the upper part of the oboe according to the invention.
According to Fig. 1, the oboe body 1 is made up in a known manner of the upper part 2, the lower part 4 and the bell 6. The head end is designated with 8 and the foot end with 10. The bore 12 extends, as usual, through the entire body 1 in a substantially uniform conical manner and is widened in a funnel shape, especially in the bell 6. The outer diameter 14 at the head end 8 is approx. 20.6 mm and increases steadily up to the outer diameter 16 of approx. 29 mm at the foot end 10. The resonator 18 is located at the head end 8.
Fig. 2 shows an enlarged partial section of the upper part 2, tone holes 20 (for the note G sharp), 22 (note G), 24 (note B), 26 (note A), 28 (note C) and 30 (note B). For reasons of clarity, tone holes 20 to 30 are not shown in detail in Fig. 1.
According to the invention, in the embodiment shown in Fig. 2, each tone hole for the notes g, b, a and c is arranged at an angle to the central axis 32 of the oboe, so that each corresponding tone hole axis 34 forms a certain angle ϑ with the perpendicular 36 to the central axis 32. The angle ϑ is determined empirically for each tone hole in the upper part and is 15° in the embodiment shown in Fig. 2.
Depending on the design, the angle σ can reach sizes of up to about 45°.

> I I> I I
■ III■ III
According to Fig. 2, only the tone holes for the notes g, b, a and c are arranged obliquely, whereas the tone holes 20 and 30 for the notes gie and h, which are also arranged in the upper part 2, are designed conventionally, i.e. perpendicular to the central axis 32.
As can also be seen from Fig. 2, the tone holes 22 and 26 (for the notes g and a) are provided with tone hole axes that run approximately parallel to one another, which run from top right to bottom left in Fig. 2, while the tone holes 24 and 28 (for the notes b and c) have tone hole axes that run in the opposite direction from top left to bottom right in Fig. 2. This ensures that the opening 40 of the tone hole chimney for the note g, and correspondingly the opening for the note a, is shifted towards the foot end 10, while the openings for the notes b and c are arranged closer to the resonator 18. The arrangement of each tone hole position 38 visible from the outside, and thus the scale of the upper piece, can therefore remain unchanged compared to the known oboe.
As described above, it is therefore not necessary for the tone hole axes to run parallel to one another or in the same direction. Furthermore, it is not absolutely necessary for the tone hole axis 34 to run entirely within the plane of the drawing according to Fig. 2, but can also be arranged at an angle to the plane of the drawing.
Durch die schräge Anordnung des Tonloches (22 bis 28) im Oberstück vergrößert sich die Tiefe des entsprechenden Tonlochkamines im Vergleich zum herköitnnlichen, vertikal angeordneten Tonloch (20, 30) zu bis etwa 0,4 mm.Due to the slanted arrangement of the tone hole (22 to 28) in the upper part, the depth of the corresponding tone hole chimney increases by up to about 0.4 mm compared to the conventional, vertically arranged tone hole (20, 30).
Furthermore, the diameter of the tone holes for the notes g, b, a and c can be enlarged.
The outer diameter 14 at the head end 8 of the oboe is approximately between 20 and 21 mm, with the wall thickness of the upper part on the head being approximately 8 to 11 mm and at the lower end of the upper part 7 to 9 mm. The outer diameter 16 at the foot end 10 of the oboe is approximately between 28.5 and 29.5 mm, with a wall thickness on the lower part 4 of approximately up to 6 mm.
The proposed oboe can be made from any material that is customary in the state of the art. Grenadilla and its various subspecies, rosewood and (') rosewood have proven to be good woods. A well-known synthetic resin-impregnated wood has also proven to be suitable for achieving the desired ease of play and uniform volume of sound across the entire range. Woods that are particularly suitable for this purpose are sycamore maple, bubinga and rosewood and its subspecies.
The inventive slanting of the tone holes, preferably in the "short" tone range, results in a tonally improved partial tone structure, which leads to the desired result of a balanced tone scale, greater tone dynamics, and thus to an overall improved integration of the "short" tones into the overall scale.
At the same time, the openings of the tone hole chimneys are shifted along the longitudinal axis of the oboe in the direction of the resonator or the instrument foot, combined with an increase in their diameter, which improves the intonation of the octaves of the corresponding tones produced by overblowing.
