Projektionsapparat zur Herstellung von Druckformen der Reproduktionstechnik Projection apparatus for the production of printing plates for reproduction technology
The invention relates to a projection apparatus according to the preamble of claim 1.
In many cases, the production of printing forms for reproduction technology is carried out in such a way that firstly an original is reproduced on a film-like carrier, this first image is enlarged and this enlarged template is then used to produce printing forms, for example for screen printing and other printing processes. A characteristic of this well-known process is its two-stage nature, according to which the production of the printing form always starts from an enlarged partial template.

Closely related to this is the choice of a light source whose overall spectrum is suitable for creating the respective desired partial spectrum. It is also assumed that the imaging system influencing the optical beam path is suitable for transmitting this partial spectrum. The latter is used for imaging purposes of an imaging medium located in the image window, which is imaged as an intermediate image in the image plane of a lens. The lens or its arrangement is designed in such a way that an adjustable imaging scale is provided. When implementing the variable imaging scale, the geometric relationships known per se can be used, i.e.

The illumination system according to the invention essentially consists of a condenser system and a means for filtering out a partial spectrum used for further imaging. The condenser system can have a special coating such as a narrow band filter and/or an anti-reflection layer. The latter means for filtering out can be a mirror designed as a color splitter, which is mounted in a simple, replaceable manner inside the housing for the purpose of adapting the projection apparatus to different partial spectra. The condenser system serves in a known manner to adapt the light emitted by the light source to the beam path required for the subsequent images. The partial spectrum used in the imaging beam path depends mainly on the spectral properties of the emulsion layers to be exposed and used in the individual printing processes. These sensitivities have sensitivity maxima for the materials used in planographic printing, for example, at the wavelengths 365 nm, 380 nm, 435 nm, while the materials used in screen printing have sensitivity maxima at the wavelengths 350 nm, 360 to 380 nm and 415 nm.

However, the invention also includes systems in which there is no deflection of the beam path. In both cases, the angular errors (wavelength shifts) caused by unavoidable deviations from the parallelism of the beam path are largely avoided. The characteristic feature is the use of a partial spectrum of light from a light source that is focused on the material to be processed in conjunction with an objective that allows a variable image scale, so that enlarged printing forms can be produced directly from an imaging medium or an original, which are characterized in particular by a high resolution. The resolution that can be achieved here, for example, starting from a partial spectrum of 340 nm to 450 nm, is around 15 pm.
The controllable drives provided according to the features of claim 2 serve to simplify the largely automated operation of the device. It must also be taken into account that the movements to be brought about by individual drives are functionally dependent on one another, so that the controllable design of these drives simplifies their combination in accordance with the respective existing movement dependencies.

360 - 435 nm emittieren. Zur Verstärkung der Lichtleistung können auch zwei oder mehr derartigeThe design of the light source according to the features of claim 6 as an alternating current-fed metal halide lamp has proven to be advantageous in practice. Since the light spectrum emitted by the lamp is determined by its gas filling, the available spectrum can be changed by replacing the lamp with one with a different gas filling. A lamp of this type used in the manner of a semi-point light source can emit spectra of, for example, 330 to 370 nm, 350 - 400 nm or 360 - 435 nm. Two or more such lamps can also be used to increase the light output.
Such light sources can be controlled in pulses so that their full light output is immediately available, which may make the presence of a shutter unnecessary. If a "rigid" lens that can be moved in the direction of its optical axis is used, a shift in the lens is always associated with a shift in its image plane on the device side, so that the position of the light source must be adjusted accordingly at low magnifications.
According to the features of claim 5, the IC/light source is therefore held so that it can be displaced by a motor by means of a drive, which displacement movement is given in the direction of its optical axis. The drive is expediently designed to be controllable, so that it can be linked in a simple manner in terms of control technology to other drives of the projection apparatus, the movement of which is functionally dependent on the optical images. This is the case, for example, with regard to the displacement movement of the lens.

The invention will be explained in more detail below with reference to the embodiment shown schematically in the drawing.
Der dieser Verschiebebewegung zugeordnete Antrieb ist innerhalb des Gehäuses 1 untergebracht, jedoch zeichnerisch aus Gründen der Übersichtlichkeit nicht wiedergegeben.1 designates a housing which is arranged in a defined manner along a horizontal guide 2 so that it can be moved by a motor. The design of the guide 2 can basically be any way you like - it just has to be possible to precisely adjust the position of the housing parallel to the direction of the arrows 3. The drive associated with this displacement movement is housed inside the housing 1, but is not shown in the drawing for reasons of clarity.
Dieser Antrieb ebenso wie die konstruktive Realisierung der Verschiebbarkeit der Lichtquelle 4 muß derart beschaffen sein, daß eine genaue Positionseinstellung in der genannten Richtung möglich ist.4 designates a light source arranged inside the housing 1, which is designed as an AC-powered metal halide lamp, the arc spacing of which is, for example, approximately 28 mm. The light source 4 is arranged so that it can be moved parallel to the direction of the arrows 5, with a drive (also not shown in the drawing) being assigned to this displacement movement. This drive, as well as the structural realization of the ability to move the light source 4, must be designed in such a way that a precise position setting in the direction mentioned is possible.

Ol can be imaged with a variable image scale on a printing form, which is only indicated in the drawing, has a light-sensitive coating and is located in a plane 7. The system mentioned consists of a first lens group 8 adjacent to the light source 4, the optical axis 9 of which runs parallel to the direction of the arrows 5. The lens group 8 serves to generate a parallel beam path with a largely uniform light density distribution, which strikes a mirror 10 aligned at an angle of 45° to the axis 3. The mirror 10 serves to deflect the parallel beam path by 90° depending on its angular orientation. It is also materially designed in such a way that part of the spectrum emitted by the light source 4, in particular the infrared range, is absorbed and essentially a partial spectrum in the UV range is reflected. 11 designates an image window, over whose opening the aforementioned original 6 is guided and in front of which a lens system 12 is arranged. The lens system 12, whose optical axis is designated 13, serves in a manner known per se to adapt the beam path, which has been parallel up to this point, to the further beam path, which converges towards an objective 14, which images the light source 4 at a suitable scale approximately in the area of the housing-side entrance pupil of the aforementioned objective. The objective 14, in turn, serves to image the original 6 held in the image window 11 in the plane 7, in accordance with an adjustable image scale.

Ha&eegr; recognizes that by moving the lens 14 in the direction of the arrow 3 of the lens system 12 in the entrance area of the lens, the intermediate image can be reproduced in the plane 7 with a variable scale, whereby only a corresponding adjustment movement of the position of the light source 4 relative to the lens system 8 is required.
Die Führung 19 ist ihrerseits um die Achse 13 motorisch drehbar gelagert, beispielsweise um Winkel von +_ 5°.17 schematically designates a film transport mechanism, which is provided in the area of the image window 11 and serves to unwind or wind up the images used as the original 6. The film transport mechanism 17 is in turn assigned a motor drive. The film transport mechanism 17 is in turn arranged on a carriage IS that can be moved by motor perpendicular to the plane of the drawing, which in turn is held on a guide 19, for example designed as a ball guide. The guide 19 is in turn mounted so that it can rotate about the axis 13 by motor, for example by an angle of +_ 5°.
