vom. ,der Bewältigung der Anodenverluste befreit sind. The invention relates to a single-anodic metal vapor discharge apparatus,
in which the anode arranged centrally above the cathode with its protective tube in
protrudes into the steam room. In the known metal vapor discharge devices this
Art takes place the utilization of the cooling surfaces, insofar as only insufficient, as that of
Heat radiated from the anode heads only with the interposition of the in, the environment, the
Metal vapor present in the anode tube can be discharged. In the course of development
More anodic vessels made proposals, the anode sleeves for anode heat dissipation
Cooling immediately with liquid has been found to be impractical and harmful
proven. With the invention, the volume-wise utilization of the cooling of the
Metal vapor discharge apparatus mentioned at the beginning significantly improved. According to the
Invention. is namely the anode protection tube at a certain distance from a
ring-shaped liquid-cooled: jacket surrounded so that the anode compartment is temperature-wise
is kept at .the. really high .level, while at the same time the vessel cooling surfaces
from the. , the coping with the anode losses are exempt.
erläutert. Die Zeichnung zeigt einen einanodigen Metalldampfentladungsapparat, bei;
The invention is explained in greater detail with reference to the single figure of the drawing
explained. The drawing shows a single-anodic metal vapor discharge apparatus, at;
the anode i arranged centrally above the container receiving the cathode: 2
is. The metal vessel 3 of the discharge apparatus is double-walled
and a coolant flows through it. The anode is still eating from a protective anoid tube
4, which protrudes into the vapor space and with a recombination grid
5 is equipped. According to the invention, the anode protection tube 4 is at a distance
from the liquid-cooled annular. Coat 6 surrounded. It has shown,
that by the arrangement .this. Cooling jacket 6 becomes possible with the metal vapor discharge apparatus
to master very high performances with relatively small dimensions. It
a favorable temperature distribution is achieved through the cooling jacket 6 in the vapor space.
The metal vapor rising from the cathode enters the annular space between
the cooling jacket 6 and the outer vessel wall and is rapidly condensed there. Despite
Arrangement of the cooling jacket, 6 but the anode i can be on during operation
keep a relatively high temperature. The one between the cooling jacket 6 and the anode protection tube
4 provided space acts as a heat resistance. It has shown,
that it is advantageous to achieve a favorable: steam flow in the vessel, the
