Elastic coupling with axially parallel connecting the two coupling halves
Spring bars The invention relates to elastic couplings and in particular
on elastic couplings of the kind in which the two coupling halves
for the purpose of shock-free power transmission by means of axially parallel bearings in them
Spring bars are connected to each other. The invention proposes such couplings
before, the inner bores of the bushings of the coupling halves that accommodate the spring rods
to shape so that the spring bars only rest in the bushes at points.
Elastic couplings connecting the two coupling halves
axially parallel spring bars are known. Here are the spring bars on the largest
Part of its length directly in the holes in the coupling halves or in the holes
inserted bushes stored therein, and a deflection of the spring bars is
only given as far as a trumpet-shaped widening of the holes allows.
Such couplings are not very elastic and not very flexible. You also still own
.The disadvantage that the spring bars in their large system in the holes in the
Power transmission a relatively large surface pressure on the walls of the
Exercise holes, which leads to a knocking out of the wall and thus to loosening
the spring bars in their seat. This is especially true in reversing operation,
where the shocks from the driven machine plus the torque of the prime mover
are significantly greater than the normal torque of the prime mover. That requires
either the use of a high-quality material as a carrier for the spring bars
or else the
Reduction of the spring bars' for not exceeding
a certain surface pressure, which leads to substantial oversizing of the couplings
leads. -All the disadvantages mentioned above that are inherent in the previous spring rod couplings
are avoided by connecting the two coupling halves together
According to the invention, spring bars only by means of point contact in the bores receiving them
stored by opening the bores in the coupling halves or in those used therein
Bushes are shaped in such a way that the spring bars inserted in them are only in point contact.
It is useful when using bushings as a spring rod carrier that
Press the bushings into the bores of the coupling halves. and through threaded nipples,
Spacers or the like in their position in the coupling halves to hold, and it
it is also useful to put the bushings in two spaced apart bushings
to subdivide that are of different lengths and consist of different materials,
being between the. Part sleeves interchangeable spacer rings are introduced to
to keep the part sleeves at a certain distance from each other.
In the drawing, the spring rod coupling according to the invention is .in two
Embodiments shown in longitudinal section.
der Fig. i zeigt.
In the embodiment according to FIG. I, i and 2 denote the two clutch disks
with the holes 3 made therein for receiving the bearing bushes q. and
5 denotes,. in which the spring bars 6 are mounted. The cans 4 and 5 are
pressed in and supported against shoulders in the bores 3. You will go through
Threaded nipple 7 and retaining rings 8 held in place, as is the left part
Fig. i shows. Alternatively, a type of fastening is shown in the right part of FIG
the hardened sleeves 4 and 5 shown without threaded nipples, namely here are the
Bushings 4 and 5 only by means of spacer bushing g, end washer io and circlip
ii fastened in the coupling bore 3. The contact pressure and the strength of the
the material used for the coupling halves i and 2 accordingly have the
Bushings 4. and 5 have a calculated width and can be made from different materials
exist. They are hardened, or at least their inner bore is surface hardened
and polished. The inner bore of the sleeves is q. and 5 according to the invention as above
formed that the spring bars 6 in the sleeves q. and 5 theoretically only punctiform
rest, which allows a natural extensive deflection and .that
a great elasticity in the coupling is achieved by replacing the spring bars
6 and the cans q. and 5 changed and. in their effect by changing the
Distance of the bushes q. and 5 can be varied from one another. At 12 and 13 is
denotes a seal required in some cases, the protective ring
i2 is shrunk on warm.
Fig.2 shows the clutch according to the invention in a variant, the same
Parts with like. Relative to; gszeichen are sifted. The bushes 4 of the left coupling half
i are here in a non-through hole 3 and lie against a cover plate
14, while the bushes q. and 5 in the right coupling half: 2 strictly fitted
are, ivas sufficient for holding the bushes in the bores 3 in most cases.
In the embodiment according to the right part of FIG. 2, the exposed here
Spring bars 6 through a protective cap extending over the entire coupling half 2
15 shielded by the heat-shrunk protective rings 12 and 16 and 17
is sealed.
So z.
Werkstoffes vermieden, was einen geringeren Bedarf an Schmiermittel bedeutet. Beim
The point-like mounting of the spring rods in the receiving ones
Drilling has several advantages. So z. B. a natural deflection is almost
given along the entire length of the spring bars, and it is due to the; low surface pressures
a knocking out of the bore walls leading to the loosening of the spring bars in their seat
avoided. Since hardened and polished surfaces work on each other, there will be a gnawing effect
Material avoided, which means a lower need for lubricant. At the
Insertion of bushes with changed inside diameter into the holes of the
Coupling halves can be used and spring bars of various outside diameters
so that their performance can be increased with the same coupling diameter. Also can
the elasticity of the coupling can be varied by changing the
Distance of the inner and outer sleeves from each other and thus the support points of the
Spring bars in the bushes from each other. Finally, there is an advantage
that achieved as a result of the low support of the spring bars in the burrs
low specific surface pressure .the cans or the ones that receive them
Clutch plates are made from a cheap material such as gray cast iron
the mechanical processing of which is easier and cheaper than that of the
Steel is what also applies to the tools required for this.
Werkstoff bestehen. There are promising application prospects for the new coupling
especially in the field of reversing drives, because of the possibility of use
of rental metas1s as building material for the coupling halves, the moment of inertia is considerable
is reduced and fewer spring bars due to the greater resilience of the spring bars
required are; The coupling diameter can therefore be kept small:
This lightweight design is also used for clutches for vehicles and transportable systems
very welcome. For insulation purposes, the couplings can also be made of non-conductive
Material.
