The invention relates to. a duct fan with a nozzle-shaped suction opening
and suggests placing an annular nozzle in the duct at the height of the fan impeller,
whose outer cover is also nozzle-shaped and through which the flow
the pumped air additionally sucks in more air by injector effect.
It is known per se, the promotion in Lutten by a compressed air stream
to reach around the for the purpose of entrainment of additional more air a
Ring nozzle is arranged, 'but it was found that even if instead of a compressed air stream
an air flow conveyed by an axial fan is used as the propellant,
There are still considerable advantages to be achieved over what is known.
The degrees of performance that can be achieved with the subject of the invention are known, in some cases far more complex, as the following list shows. In the air duct air blower
built-in. with -
Fan ring nozzle
Air volume conveyed. . 46 50M3 / min.
.Dynamic pressure .... 31 38 mm WS
Up from the impeller
Consumed power ... 445 445 watts
Performance level ......... 52.50 / 0 7o0 / 0
This increase in performance is explained by the fact that the outermost layer of the conveyed air, which has the highest speed, is not in contact with the surface of a solid body, as is the case with all known duct fans, but by a cylindrical air envelope of the additionally sucked in air is surrounded. The friction is not a source of loss, but serves to exert the injector effect. The speed of the additionally sucked in air then increases from the circumference of the duct towards its center, and the loss due to friction between it and the wall is extremely low.
The vortices of the conveyed air are also sucked in by the
damped = the latter acts as a cushion and reduces friction losses
the walls even further.
It is particularly advantageous to have the nozzle-shaped suction opening
to connect the duct by guide vanes and behind the impeller one per se
known flow cone with expediently also designed as guide vanes
To arrange struts. The threads of the air flow are aligned by the guide vanes,
and thus vortex formation is avoided. The current threads in the duct then have one
particularly even course.
In the drawing, an embodiment of a fan according to the invention is shown, namely Fig. I- shows a section through the longitudinal axis and Fig. 2 shows an associated side view from the left. At the beginning of the Lutte r, the motor 2 is arranged in a nozzle-shaped housing, which is carried by the radial struts 4. Several of these struts can be provided. There are eight in the drawing, all of which are shown in Fig. 2 and only one in Fig. I for reasons of clarity. The impeller 3 of the blower sucks in the air in the sense of the directional arrows 1.2 through the nozzle-shaped suction opening 5. The conveyed air flow, which is guided through the struts 4, sucks in additional air as a result of the injector effect through the ring nozzle 6 in the direction of the arrows 13. A cover 7 is provided on the ring nozzle, while the additionally sucked in air is guided through guide vanes 8 which connect the nozzle-shaped suction opening 5 to the duct. The number of these guide vanes can be chosen as desired. For the sake of simplicity, only one is shown in Fig. I.
Zone der Ringdüse etwas düsenförmig im Durchmesser verringert (vgl. die Stelle ii).A flow cone 9 is arranged with struts io behind the impeller 3.
The purpose of this body is to avoid negative pressures in the middle of the air flow while
the struts, which are expediently designed as guide vanes, are intended to axially guide him.
The motor 3 is also egg-shaped, which effectively supports the steering and
contributes to avoiding the formation of eddies. The duct is used as a guide in the
Zone of the ring nozzle slightly reduced in diameter in the form of a nozzle (see point ii).
The air flow additionally sucked in in the direction of the arrows 13 contributes, for the reasons mentioned at the beginning, to a considerable increase in both the conveying capacity and the efficiency. The energy is made useful which would otherwise be lost through the formation of eddies and the like.
