Description
The invention relates to a roof covering, in particular for tents, halls and awnings, consisting of gas-tight sheet material, preferably in the form of individual strips.
Temporary structures and awnings are covered with more or less water-repellent tarpaulin material. For a long time, plastic material that is impermeable to water and air has been used for roofing fixed awnings, and for some time now also for roofing tents and halls. The well-known tarpaulin material has a number of disadvantages.
If rainwater collects on the tarpaulin material, the enormous weight of the accumulated water can pose a threat to the stability of the tent, hall or awning, as the weight of the water can damage the tarpaulin material and even the tent, hall or awning. In these cases, the tent, hall or awning must not be left unattended, as the water must be periodically drained by manually lifting the tarpaulin material.
Bei Zelten und Hallen ist in der kalten Jahreszeit eine Isolation der Bedachung gegen die kalte Außenluft fast nicht gegeben, so daß das betreffende, hinsichtlich seiner Temperaturisolation sehr dünne Planer.material sineIn the case of tents and halls, there is almost no insulation of the roof against the cold outside air during the cold season, so that the relevant, very thin tarpaulin material with regard to its temperature insulation sine

sich auf der Unterseite der Bedachung in erheblichem Umfang schädliches Schwitzwasser bildet*considerable amounts of harmful condensation form on the underside of the roof*
The invention is based on the object of creating a roof of the type mentioned at the beginning, which can withstand even prolonged rain without damage when left unattended, and on the other hand offers better insulation on the one hand against heat radiation in the cold season in the case of a tent or a hall and on the other hand against heat radiation in the warm season in the case of an awning, a tent or a hall.
According to the invention, the object is achieved by the features listed in the characterizing part of claim 1.
The invention has the advantage over the known system that even prolonged rain cannot harm the roof. The roof can be left to itself without supervision because the rainwater runs off the roof on its own, even in the area of the eaves, without forming sagging bags. The roof has a high insulating effect, so that in the cold season much less heating is needed than before. Condensation can hardly form on the underside of the roof of a tent or hall. The insulating effect of the roof is also pleasantly noticeable in the warm season, because the air inside the tent or hall in question is heated up less by sunlight than before, and the room under an awning also remains cooler than before. The roof, including the awning, is stiffer than before, so that the stability of the roof is increased and the tarpaulin material no longer hits the frame parts of the tent or hall or the arms of the awning when exposed to wind.

A tent 16 (Fig. 1) or a hall is provided with a roof which is made from rafters 40 and strips 17, 18, 19 made of tarpaulin material. For this purpose, the strips 17, 18, 19 are inserted in a known manner into grooves in the rafters 40 by means of thickened edges 42 (Fig. 2).
The air chambers 2, 3, 4 are sealed to the outside, but are initially connected to the outside air via nozzles 5, 6, 7. Other nozzles 8, 9, 10 provide a further connection between the interior of the respective air chamber 2, 3, 4 and the outside. The other nozzles 8, 9, 10 are initially closed by means of closures 11, 12, 13. In this way, the air chambers 2, 3, 4 can be supplied with pressure from a pressure source 38 {Fig. = I)

So that the air chambers 17, 18, 19 can also hold the supplied air quantity, the nozzles 5, 6, 7 and 8, 9, 10 are each equipped with a check valve 1.
So that the roofing can be filled via a single nozzle from the pressure source 38 via a single line 37, connecting pieces 14, 15 (Fig. 3) are provided, with the help of which nozzles of adjacent panels are fluidically connected to one another. In the exemplary embodiment, nozzles 8 and 6 are connected via the connecting piece 14, and nozzles 9 and 7 are connected via the connecting piece 15. If the connection from the pressure source 38 (Fig. 1) via the line 37 to the nozzle 5 (Fig. 3) were fluidically connected, the air chambers 2, 3, 4 of the panels 17, 18, 19 could be filled with air, and the panels 17, 18 could therefore be inflated. In this way, an entire roofing can be filled with air via a single nozzle.
Overhangs 46 point downwards from the eaves of the roof. Instead of the overhangs 46 or in addition to them, eaves parts 29, 30, 31 of any shape can be attached to the free ends of the sheets 17, 18, 19 (Fig. 1). They are in fluid communication with the air chambers 2, 3, 4 and are therefore inflated when the air chambers 2, 3, 4 are inflated.
In order to release the air for the purpose of dismantling the roof of the tent 16 or a hall, for example, one or more of the check valves can be removably inserted into the relevant nozzle.
Die Bedachung wird am Beispiel einer feststehenden Markise (Fig. 4) erläutert, die an einem Bauwerk 39 angebrachtThe roofing for an awning is constructed in a similar way to the roofing for a tent 116 or a hall. The roofing is explained using the example of a fixed awning (Fig. 4) that is attached to a building 39

ist. Feststehende Arme 41 weisen auch hier (in der Zeichnung nicht gezeigte) Nuten auf, die die verdicktenFixed arms 41 also have grooves (not shown in the drawing) which hold the thickened
Take up edges of webs 20, 21. The latter are made of two layers to form air chambers 22, 23. Nozzles 24, 25 and 26, 27 lead into the interior of the air chambers 22, 23. The nozzles 26, 27 are initially closed using closures 34, 35 so that the air chambers 22, 23 can be filled with air from the outside via the nozzles 24, 25.
If the nozzles 26, 25 (Fig. 4) are fluidically connected to one another by means of a connecting piece 28, and on the other hand the nozzle 27 is closed by means of the closure 35, then the pressure source only needs to be connected to the nozzle 24 via the line 37, whereby both webs 20, 21 can be inflated simultaneously.
In diesem Fall wird der Stutzen 24 mittels eines (inIf this is more practical in terms of space, an additional nozzle 36 can also be provided on the track 20, to which the line 37 coming from the pressure source is connected. In this case, the nozzle 24 is connected by means of a (in
der Zeichnung nicht dargestellten) Verschlusses verschlossen.closed with a closure (not shown in the drawing).
Eaves parts 32, 33 can be attached to the free ends of the webs 20, 21 (Fig. 4), which are preferably fluidically connected to the interior of the air chambers 22, 23 and are accordingly filled with air together with the air chambers 22, 23.
Bei einen) Leck in einer oder mehreren der Bahnen 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 wird von der Druckquelle 38 ausThe pressure of the air supplied by the pressure source 38 is kept at a constant value by regulating the delivery rate of the pressure source by means of automatic pressure monitoring. automatisch Luft nachgefüllt. Hierdurch ist wartungsfreier Betrieb der Bedachung möglich.Air is automatically refilled. This enables maintenance-free operation of the roof.
20, 21 dienenden Stutzen notwendig. For the maintenance-free operation described above, no check valves 1 are required in the nozzles used to fill the tracks 17, 18, 19 or 20, 21.
Panels 44, 45 (Fig. 1) on the sides of a tent 16 or a hall can also be made double-walled and inflatable to form air chambers. This makes these panels 44, 45 stiff, unable to swing back and forth and providing high temperature insulation.
