Die Vorrichtung bezweckt, bei Dachdeckungsarbeiten den Arbeiter vor Herabfallen zu schützen.The purpose of the device is to prevent the worker from falling during roofing work protection.

Die Schutzvorrichtung besteht aus einer Fangvorrichtung, welche an der unteren Dachkante befestigt ist. Um dieselbe möglichst hoch machen und doch durch die gewöhnlichen kleinen Dachfenster hinausbringen zu können, ist sie in der Höhe in die beiden Theile α_Ύ und a₂ (Fig. 1). getheilt, welche durch Scharniere b zusammengehalten werden. Jede Schutzhälfte CL₁ und iü₂ bildet einen Rahmen, welcher mit einem Netz oder Drähtgeflecht ausgefüllt ist, um die Theile möglichst leicht zu machen. Der untere Theil α_Ύ ist um den Betrag χ (Fig. 2) auf jeder Seite breiter als der andere a₂, um hier den Haken c aufzunehmen, um den ein Seil geschlungen wird. Aufserdem trägt die untere Hälfte α_λ zwei oder mehrere Arme d, an deren Enden sich Rollen- (Fig. 2 und 3) befinden. Die Rollengabel J₁ kann sich nach allen Seiten um einen Zapfen drehen. Eine ebenso befestigte Rolle g mit Gabel g₁ ist an dem oberen Theile a₂ angebracht, so dafs sich die Schutzvorrichtung im zusammengeklappten Zustande wie ein Wagen auf einer Ebene y-y (Fig. 3) nach beliebiger Richtung verschieben läfst.The protective device consists of a safety device which is attached to the lower edge of the roof.
