Neben den meist üblichen Kabelbindlungen, bei denen der Schuh in seinem Vorderteil durdh verstellbare Zehenbacken in der Querrichtung gehalten wird, sind auch schon Kabelbindungen bekanntgeworden, bei denen der Schuh in der Längsrichtung durch den Kabelzug mit seinem vorderen Sohlenrand an einem Anschlagteil angedrückt und' durch seitlich aufragende Backen eines Beschlages in seinem mittleren Teil in der Querrichtung gehalten wird. Diese Bindungen zeichnen sich diurch besonders einfache Anpassung an verschiedene Schuhgrößen aus. Da es aber nicht genügt, den Schuh bloß in seinem Mittelteil seitlich zu führen, war dabei der vorn befindliche Anschlagteil so ausgebildet, daß er auch nach der Seite hin eine gewisse Führung bietet, indem er z. B. mit Zapfen in Ausnehmungen des Sohlenbeschlages einragt. Eine solche Bindung hat zwar die beabsidhtigte Wirkung, daß der Schuh sich bei Stürzen leicht aus der Bindung löst, aber auch die unerwünschte Nebenwirkung, daß ein solches Ablösen auch sonst allzuleidht vorkommt, z. Gegen Abheben ist der Schuhvorderteil schließlieh durch die Nase 5 des Beschlagteiles A festgehalten, die andererseits das erforderliche geringfügige Abheben der Ferse vom Ski nicht behindert.
