Description
Ultrasonic cleaning method The invention relates to a method for cleaning parts of pollution, in which the contaminated parts exposed to an ultrasonic field. It is already known per se that ultrasonic waves can peel off layers at interfaces and thus have a cleaning effect. These Effect is based on the fact that the transition from one medium to another at the boundary areas due to the difference in sound resistance ratios Discontinuities arise in the ultrasound permeability, so that at these Make more or less * strong amplitudes of movement occur. This effect is but not the same everywhere. If namely the thickness of the object to be cleaned at such a point is just dimensioned such that it is a quarter of the wavelength or an odd multiple of a wavelength quarter, so is located the rear surface of the object does not move. So it can no cleaning takes place there. This affects so that when cleaning cleaning of an object works extremely well in some places, but in other places it is only inadequate.
This disadvantage is eliminated by the invention. The invention consists in changing the ultrasonic frequency during cleaning. According to According to another invention, this frequency change can be made periodically, i. H. the Ultrasonic frequency can be swept. The change in the ultrasonic frequency doesn't need to be made very big. It just depends on the pronounced Formation of quarter wavelength points or odd multiples of a quarter wavelength to avoid. On the other hand, one is careful to achieve a special intensive cleaning, the greatest possible amplitude of movement at the interfaces to evoke. Accordingly, it is appropriate to have the material thickness and wavelength in the Material to match each other so that the material thickness is about half a wavelength or a multiple thereof. So you can see the frequency change during the sweep make so that one commutes between the two possibilities described to then one that is as effective as possible for each point on the material surface to be cleaned To achieve cleaning effect. If necessary, a wobble with changeable Frequency hul> be applied.
