Die das Oberteil und Unterteil bildenden Schalen können nach Entnahme des Inhalts im Haushalt weiter Verwendung finden, beispielsweise als Schalen für die verschiedenartigsten Verwendungszwecke, als Aschenbecher usw. Das Material, aus dem die Schien hergestellt werden, ist beliebig, vorzugsweise findet jedoch Glas, Kunststoff oder Keramik Verwendung.
