Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft den Aufbau von elektrischen Sammlern. Derselbe läfst sich für alle bekannten Platten - Sammler anwenden. Es wird dadurch die Gefahr, dafs Kurzschlüsse in der Zelle entstehen, verringert und für die Platten an den unteren Kanten eine sichere Verbindung geschaffen. Das Wesentliche der Neuerung besteht darin, dafs die Elektrodenplatten und die Zwischentafeln an ihren unteren Kanten unter einander -verkittet sind, wodurch sie nicht nur in richtigem Abstand von einander gehalten werden, sondern auch verhütet wird, dafs ein Kurzschlufs durch sich von den positiven Elektroden ablösende wirksame Masse infolge einer Berührung mit der negativen Platte entsteht. Dieses Verkitten geschieht etwa in der Weise, dafs die Platten in die in einer flachen Schale im flüssigen Zustande befindliche Kittmasse, Gummi oder dergleichen eingesetzt werden, worauf die Masse an und zwischen den eingesetzten Kanten erhärtet; oder es werden geschmeidige Streifen angewendet, welche erhärten und dabei an den Kanten der Platten und Zwischentafeln dann festhaften.
