Ink fountain roller drive in printing machines The invention relates to
an ink fountain roller drive in printing machines, in which the ink fountain roller through
an arm swinging back and forth intermittently over a pinch roller freewheel clutch
is twisted. In the known similar devices, the ink fountain roller
can also be turned in their direction of rotation by a handwheel. A reverse turn
the ink fountain roller "is not possible, however. Now there is, however, in printing machines
often the need to turn back the ink fountain roller from time to time or
to quickly turn back and forth to remove blockages in the outflow gap of the paint fountain
to prevent. This is why turning back was used in other known devices
the ink fountain roller is controlled automatically at regular intervals. The practical
proven facilities of this type are relatively expensive. Therefore limited
one generally relies on turning back the fountain roller by hand from time to time.
So far, however, this has only been readily possible with the known devices,
in which the intermittently moved ink fountain roller is driven by a ratchet drive from
the machine is driven. As soon as the swinging back and forth on one
Arm attached driver pawl from the associated locking wheel, the ink fountain roller
is lifted off, the fountain roller can also be turned backwards. but
it is a major disadvantage of the ratchet drive that the respective rotary movement
the fountain roller from the distance between the individual teeth of the ratchet
is dependent, so it cannot be regulated continuously.
schwingenden Arm, also nach Ausschalten
der Freilaufkupplung, von Hand auch nac
rückwärts verdreht werden kann. Die Er .'"
dung gibt mit einfachsten Mitteln die ;
The invention avoids these disadvantages in the case of an ink fountain roller which is driven intermittently via a clamping roller freewheel clutch, in that the driving part of the overrunning clutch is connected to its swivel arm so that it can be rotated but fixed, so that the ink fountain roller after the connection between the driven end coupling part and your back and forth
swinging arm, so after switching off
the overrunning clutch, by hand also nac
can be rotated backwards. Which he .'"
manure gives with the simplest means;
opportunity, the annoying blockages in the A
to avoid river gap of the paint box, ohri
that on the advantages of a one-way clutch
it is necessary to dispense with the intermittent drive of the ink fountain roller, which allows a stepless switching of the inking roller movement.
The drawing illustrates an embodiment of the invention,
namely Fig. i shows a cross section through the overrunning clutch and Fig. 2 shows a
Longitudinal section through the drive of the ink fountain roller.
Will man die Farbkastenwalze entgegen ihrer Laufrichtung
verdrehen, so löst man die Griffschraube i i, was mühelos auch während des Betriebes
W#@triebenen Kupplungsteil 5 mitgenommen,
e s ' die Griffschraube i i an der einen Stirn-
and des Schlitzes 12 anstößt.
The intermittent drive of the ink fountain roller i is carried out by the arm 2 swinging back and forth about its axis, which is moved by a rod 3 of a crank loop or the like and whose stroke can be continuously adjusted from zero to a maximum. The connection of the swivel arm: 2 finite the shaft q. the ink fountain roller i is effected by a clamping roller freewheel clutch which is arranged in a plate-shaped recess in the hub io of the arm 2. The driven part 5 of the overrunning clutch, which carries the eccentrically extending clamping tracks 6 for the clamping rollers 7, is firmly wedged on the shaft of the ink fountain roller. The driving part 8 of the overrunning clutch with the central roller conveyor 9 is formed by a ring. In the ring 8 sits a handle screw i i. whose neck is guided in a circumferential slot 12 of the hub io of the swivel arm and the collar of which lies against the jacket of the hub io. On the end of the shaft .4 of the fountain roller is a. Handwheel 13 arranged tightly, by means of which the ink fountain roller can be rotated in its running direction at any time while overhauling the overrunning clutch. If you want to turn the fountain roller against its direction of rotation, you loosen the handle screw ii, which can easily be done during operation. Then the overrunning clutch for driving the ink fountain roller is disabled; the fountain roller can be turned by hand in both directions, with the turning in the opposite direction its running direction through the length of the
Slot 12 is limited, that is, when
";'turn the ink fountain roller against it
in the direction of rotation, the ring 8 is
W # @ driven coupling part 5 taken along,
it 'the handle screw ii on one of the forehead
and the slot 12 abuts.
Instead of the grip screw ii, other connecting parts or couplings between the swivel arm 2 and the shaft of the ink fountain roller can also be switched on. For example, it would be possible to arrange the inner coupling part 5 loosely rotatable on the shaft .4 of the ink fountain roller and to connect it by a coupling to the handwheel 13, which is non-rotatable but axially displaceable on the shaft 4, so that after loosening this coupling , ie after pulling back the handwheel, the ink fountain roller can be rotated in both directions independently of the overrunning clutch.
