Das vorliegende Verfahren bezweckt die Herstellung einer Anstrichmasse, welche beim Streichen keinerlei Fettstellen zeigt und nach dem Trocknen nicht im geringsten mehr »nachklebt«. Dieser Zweck wird dadurch erreicht, dafs man die zur Erzeugung der Anstrichfarbe verwendeten ölhaltigen Substanzen (Firnifs, Siccativ) vorher mit Aether oder ähnlichen leichtflüchtigen und harzlösenden Medien behandelt und von den sich abscheidenden Verunreinigungen trennt. Der Aether bewirkt nicht allein die Abscheidung aller klebrigen, besonders harzartigen Verunreinigungen der OeIe, welche das Nachkleben der Anstrichmasse verursachen, sondern verhindert zugleich auch durch sein schnelles Verdunsten beim Auseinanderstreichen der Masse das Entstehen von Fettstellen, wie sie bei gewöhnlicher OeI-farbe unvermeidlich sind.The present process aims to produce a paint which is used in Painting does not show any grease spots and after drying does not "stick" in the slightest. Durch den Zusatz von Aether werden aus den Oelen die klebrigen Substanzen gefällt, so dafs man für den weiteren Gebrauch die darüber stehende Flüssigkeit vom Niederschlag abgiefsen kann. Benutzt man gekochtes Leinöl als Siccativ, so ist es zweckmäfsig, diese Operation in der Weise vorzunehmen, dafs man die klebrigen Substanzen mittelst Aethers abscheidet, die Flüssigkeit durch Abgiefsen von dem Niederschlag trennt und den Aether aus derselben vor dem Kochen verdunsten läfst. Terpentinöl läfst sich in derselben Weise reinigen; es genügt jedoch, für die Bereitung der Anstrichmasse französisches Terpentinöl zu verwenden.Firnifs and siccatives are first purified by letting them come into contact with about 10 % of their volume of sulfur ether in well-sealable vessels for 24 hours.
