Stehleiter insbesondere für HaushaltszweckeStepladder, in particular for household purposes
The object of the innovation is a step ladder with steps arranged on hollow profile spars and made up of metal profile parts that are open at the end faces. The aim of the innovation is to simplify the production of the steps, to facilitate assembly ■: / · and to increase the strength of both the steps and the stiles without the need for thicker metal or larger profiles. Comparable stepladders either had stiles in a tubular profile with a round cross-section or made of U-profiles. It is also known to use hollow profiles with a rectangular cross-section to form the stiles ζ α. The treads were either connected to the stiles at their front ends by spot welding or bolted to brackets that were connected to the stiles by means of pin welding. These types of fastening of the steps required a corresponding additional effort in terms of production, and there were also steps made of metal profile parts, which in the case of hollow profile spars of rectangular cross-section on the narrow
The steps themselves have already been made as light metal as rolled, drawn or pressed profiles. The YO? "! <? ■" *? 1 T WA ^ intprsn T.-fln ^ RkantRn of the steps ripped out over the profile parts connected to the ladder stiles and, since the front and rear longitudinal edges had no support, had to be made correspondingly strong, which in turn entailed greater effort.
According to the innovation, all these difficulties are avoided by that the steps consist of rolled or pressed sheet metal profiles, the long sides of which on both sides of the Step downwards and inwards and then parallel running to the spars and on both sides of a notch on the front sides of the steps on the front and back the spars are angled downwards and are connected to them by sheet metal rivets or the like. The parallel germinate to the long sides of the steps running towards the stiles bent inwards at their lower edges and these bends are notched in the area of the spars. Particularly useful it is when the side surfaces of the hollow profile spars are curved outwards in relation to their longitudinal center plane, while their leading and trailing edges are designed as parallel surfaces. The outward curvature of the side surface the spars results in a considerable stiffening without additional expenditure on professional strength and secures these lateral

Es zeigen:In the drawing, the subject of the innovation is illustrated, for example. Show it:

Stützholm mit dem Anschlußende einer rohrförmigen QuerverbindungFIG. 3 shows a plan view of a step, FIG. 4 shows a longitudinal section through a side or support strut with the connection end of a tubular cross connection
The stepladder consists, as usual, of side bars 1 and support bars 2 hinged to them. The bars 1 and 2 are as metallic hollow profiles and have a cross section as shown in FIG. The side faces 3 of the spars are opposite their longitudinal center plane, as can be seen from Fig. 4, curved outward, from which a Stiffening of the spars as a whole and especially of them Side surfaces against the load on the steps 4 and at the connection points of the tubular cross connection 5 of the support bars results without the material thickness of the bars and thus the weight will be increased. At the same time, an improvement in the buckling strength of the spars is achieved.
The steps 4 consist of rolled or pressed Sheet metal profiles, the long sides of which are on both sides of the tread obliquely downwards and inwards and then running parallel to the spars and on both sides of a notch 7 (Fig. 3) the front sides of the step on the front and rear of the bars 1 are angled down and by blind rivets 8 or the like. are connected to these. The spars 1, 2 are parallel at their front and rear edges Formed surfaces 9, which results in a good support for the curved / angled parts of the side surfaces that lie against them the step and a particularly secure riveted connection results. Y / ie Pig. 2 shows, the parallel to the spars 1 running long sides of the steps at their lower edges bent inwards and these bends 10 be notched in the region of the spars 1. A particular added benefit the profile design of the side rails 1 "is that this profiling compared to a rectangular profiling as well still has the advantage of a significantly improved grip for the hand * Of course, this profile of the side and support bars 1, 2, with the same advantages, even with treads shaped differently in cross-section be used.
