Description
Bagless vacuum cleaners are known in which the fan removes the dusty air sucks through a separator that conveys the dust into a dust container. With the known In vacuum cleaners of this type, the dust container is designed as a floor pan arranged on the underside of the vacuum cleaner, which has the disadvantage that the dust container in the normal position of the vacuum cleaner inaccessible and is open at the top after its removal for the purpose of emptying, so that when being transported to the emptying point dust easily escapes from it. The invention avoids these disadvantages and consists in that the dust container on removable from the underframe carrying the suction nozzle, the Göbläserad and the separator is arranged and at the same time limits the blower chamber to the outside and the connection between the suction nozzle on the one hand and the fan wheel and the separator on the other manufactures. This ensures that the dust container for the purpose of emptying is easily accessible and only needs to be pulled out upwards; aside from that During this process, it forms a closed canister that only reaches the emptying point needs to be opened. In addition, the dust container according to the invention is used in contrast to the known dust container nor to the outer boundary of the blower chamber and to establish the connection between the suction nozzle on the one hand and the impeller and the separator on the other hand; this results in a considerable amount Simplification of the overall structure and a reduction in the overall height of the vacuum cleaner.

From the front and rear nozzles 30, 31 two channels 38 (Fig. I) lead on both sides of the central channel 34 to an annular one Chamber 40 in the storage rack, which is in communication with the dust container 20. Each channel 38 is provided with a plurality of openings 41 in the lower wall 42 of the underframe and these openings are covered by air filters 43 supported on plates 44 are. These are rotatably arranged at 45 on the lower wall of the frame and held in place by resilient latches 46 or the like. The openings 41 and the filters 43 form a vent for excess air, which is replaced by air drawn in from the outside will.
On the bottom 42 of the frame, a housing 50 is mounted, which is arranged vertically Includes engine 56. In the upper part of the housing wall holes 52 are provided through which air can be sucked in, which can emerge again through holes 54 in the floor.
A suction fan wheel όΐ is carried by the vertical motor shaft 60, above which a Dust separator 62 is arranged directly. Between the separator and the fan wheel lies a plate 63 with a central opening 64 defining the fan inlet opening forms. This plate is provided with an upwardly directed edge 67 which is in a annular groove 68 engages in the inwardly overhanging edge of inner wall 72 of dust container 20 so that escape is prevented from air at this point. The dust container has a bottom 70 and vertical outer and inner walls 71, 72, the inner of which is higher than the outer. The two walls essentially form one annular chamber. The container is provided with a domed lid 21, which at hinged to the outer wall 71 and with a rubber seal 75 and a suitable closure 76 is provided so that the lid is airtight.
A slot yS is provided in the bottom 70 of the container which coincides with the slot 35 in the upper wall 36 of the underframe. Arranged between the inner and outer walls 71, 72 is a baffle plate or partition 80 which extends upward from the floor 70. The upper end 81 of this wall is bent backwards so that it engages over the inner wall 72. The baffle plate 80, together with the outer wall 71 and the cover 21, forms a channel 83 through which a connection with the channel 34 of the suction nozzle 25 is established. The dust chamber 66 is located between the baffle plate 80 and the inner wall 72, and the inner wall 72 is designed and supported at a distance from the fan wheel so that, together with the latter and the motor housing, it forms the fan chamber when the dust container is in the in Fig. 1 and 3 shown working position is.
An upwardly directed flange 85 is provided on the upper wall of the underframe, which forms a bearing into which the dust container fits, a hook 87 being rotatable on the outer wall 71 of the container is arranged, which may comprise a pin 88 on the flange 85 to the dust container to be held in the flange. Seals 89 and 90 on the underframe prevent a Escape of air through the joints of the connection points between the underframe and the bottom of the dust bin.
In operation, air is sucked into the suction nozzle 25 by the fan wheel 61 and leaves through channels 34 and 83 into the dust container. This air flows through the separator 62 before it can enter the fan suction opening 64. In the separator are suspended in the air Foreign matter secreted in a known manner and in the radial direction outward into the Dust chamber 66 thrown. The separator removes a large part of the foreign matter of the air, which then passes through the fan wheel 61 into the fan chamber 65 and on the outlet channels 38 are driven into the front and rear nozzle parts 30 and 31, surrounding the suction nozzle 25.
When the vacuum cleaner is in operation, the carpet is raised against the lips 26 and 27 of the suction nozzle 25 drawn (Fig. 1). The air in the front and rear nozzles and 31 enters the suction nozzle under these lips. In the meantime it is always urgent some outside air into the suction nozzle 25 under its end walls or through the coat of the carpet through which the circular
This displacement of air ■ is made possible by that excess air through the openings 41 in the outlet channels 38 into the external air can escape; the excess air passes through the filters 43, the dust or remove other foreign matter from it.
As a result, there is no significant transfer of fine suspended particles in the space. As the displaced air is evacuated downwards and near the nozzle, any dust particles that might be in the air are quickly sucked back into the nozzle and at an overflow into the room ; prevented.
The fabric or other air-permeable material from which the filter is made can easily be replaced by releasing the latches 46 and opening the panels 44 will. Part of the sucked in air goes through the motor housing; she kicks in through holes 52 and out again through holes 54, thereby cooling the engine will. These holes can also be provided with air filters.
If the dust container is to be removed, it is only necessary to remove the locking element 87 and lift the container vertically upwards from the underframe, whereupon the container in a suitable place after opening the lid 21 by Reversing can be drained. The container 20 is then with its bottom in the Flange 85 reinserted, with its inner wall 72 again concentric with the - the motor housing is so that the fan
