Abstract

A seal against intrusions into the identity of an object is formed by a capsule that is attached to the object and contains a chip in which identifying data are stored and can be recalled by means of a terminal for an identity check. The seal may include a tie loop incorporating a semiconductor-based delay line or a light-conducting glass fiber cable and can be designed to register intrusive manipulations of the capsule or tie loop.
