Abstract

The invention relates to a porous metal fiber plate (1), in which a regular pattern of holes (2) has been made which occupy an overall free passage area of 5 % to 35 % of the total surface area of the plate, while each hole (2) has a surface area of between 0.03 mm<2> and 10 mm<2>. The plate is suitable for use as a membrane in a gas burner device. The invention covers also a gas burner device in which such a porous metal fiber membrane is mounted.
