Description

Die Neuerung betrifft ein Ultraschallwerkzeug mit einem eine Ultraschall-Wandlereinrichtung umschließenden Gehäuse und einem am Gehäuse angesetzten, mit der Wandlereinrichtung gekoppelten Horn.
Es sind Vorrichtungen zum Schweißen mit Ultraschall bekannt, bei denen der Ultraschallwandler in einem Ständer verstellbar angeordnet ist. Insbesondere beim Schweißen großer Formteile aus thermoplastischem Werkstoff, beispielsweise Automobilteile oder Platten, sind die bekannten Einrichtungen unhandlich. Mit der Neuerung soll ein Ultraschallwerkzeug geschaffen werden, das vielseitig verwendbar und auch zum Ausführen von Schweißungen an schwer zugänglichen Stellen geeignet ist. Dazu werden neuerungsgemäß an dem Wandlergehäuse zwei Handgriffe lösbar angeordnet, die seitlich von dem Gehäuse abstehen. Damit kann das Ultraschallwerkzeug wie eine Schweißpistole verwendet werden.

In vorteilhafter Ausgestaltung sind die Handgriffe auf einem Klemmring angeordnet, der über das Wandlergehäuse geschoben und daran festgezogen wird. Einer der beiden Griffe trägt einen Schalter zum Anschalten der Stromversorgung für den Ultraschallwandler. Dabei ist es ein wesentlicher Vorteil, daß der Ultraschallwandler dann wahlweise an dem Ständer und als Handwerkzeug Verwendung finden kann.
Um den Ultraschallwandler in diesem Fall In eine Schweißpistole umzubauen, ist als Zubehör lediglich der Klemmring mit den beiden Handgriffen und ein Steckergehäuse für den Anschluß der Kabel an den Ultraschallwandler notwendig. Zum Umrüsten des Ultraschallwandlers wird dieser aus dem Ständer entnommen, der Klemmring aufgeschraubt und die elektrischen Verbindungen hergestellt. Die so auf einfache Welse zusammensetzbare Schweißpistole ist handlich und vielseitig einsetzbar.
Ein Ausführungsbeispiel der Neuerung wird nun an Hand der beillegenden Zeichnungen beschrieben. Es zeigen:

Bei der in Fig. 1 gezeigten Schweißpistole ist uer Ultraschallwandler 20 von bekannter Bauwelse. Ein Wandler dieser Art erhält elektrische Hochfrequenzenergie von einem Generator über ein Kabel 22. Die aufgenommene elektrische Energie wird in den Wandler 20 durch eine oder mehrere piezoelektrische Scheiben in akustische Energie umgesetzt. Statt der piezoelektrischen Scheiben können auch magnetostriktive Wandler verwendet werden. Um die Amplitude der Ultraschallschwingungen zu vergrößern, 1st ein mechanischer Amplitudentransformator vorgesehen, der als Harn ausgebildet ist. Das Horn 1st mit dem Wandler gekoppelt und gibt Schwingungsenergie an seiner Stirnfläche ab, wobei die Amptlitude der Schwingungen in axialer Richtung in der Größenordnung von 0,025 bis 0,075 cm liegt. Die Stirnfläche 25 des Horns 24 wird in Kontakt mit dem thermoplastischen Werkstück gebracht. Die Form der Stirnfläche richtet sich nach der speziellen Anwendung der Schweißpistole.
An dem zylindrischen Gehäuse des Wandlers 20 ist ein Klemmring
26 lösbar angeordnet, an dem zwei radial abstehende Handgriffe
27 und 28 angeschraubt sind. Die Form der Handgriffe kann nach Belleben abgeändert werden. So kann beispielsweise der Handgriff 27 aus einem runden Griff bestehen, der mit einem Gewindezapfen in die Bohrung 32 eingeschraubt ist. Der Handgriff 28 kann ein handelsüblicher Griff sein, der mit zwei Schrauben in den Gewinde*) ohrungen 34 befestigt wird.

Claims (3)

Schutzansprüche
1. Ultraschallwerkzeug mit einem einen Ultraschallwandler umschließenden Gehäuse und einem am Gehäuse angesetzten, mit der Wandlereinrichtung gekoppelten Horn, gekennzeichnet durch zwei seitlich an dem Gehäuse (20) lösbar angeordnete Handgriffe (27, 28).
2. Werkzeug nach Anspruch 1, zur wahlweisen Verwendung an einem Ständer, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Handgriffe an einem auf das Gehäuse (20) aufsetzbaren Klemmring (26) befestigt sind.
