Abstract

A closure (1) for a container (5) made of resilient flexible plastic material comprises a lid portion (2), a retaining ring portion (4) and a sealing strip (3) connected along a major part of its circumferential extension to the lid portion (2) and the retaining portion (4) by bridge sections of plastic material having score lines. The closure (1) is manufactured in a closed and sealed state and is mounted in this state on the container (5) filled with its contents. The hemicircular sealing strip (3) has a bulge with a convex profile (9) on its inside and close to one end of the strip (3). In an unmounted state, the sealing strip (3) is about hemicircular in form. When the closure (1) is in a state mounted on the container (5) as shown in the Figure, the bulge is displaced by a toroidal portion (11) on the neck of the container (5), thereby forming gripping means for gripping and tearing off the sealing strip (3). Die Erfindung betrifft einen abgedichteten Verschluß für Behälter gemäß dem Oberbegriff von Anspruch 1 und ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Behälters mit einem solchen Verschluß.The invention relates to a sealed closure for containers according to the preamble of claim 1 and a method for producing a container with such a closure.

Ein Verschluß aus elastischem Kunststoffmaterial ist aus der EP-A2-0 320 475 bekannt. Der bekannte Verschluß ist zum Gebrauch mit einem an seinem Halsabschnitt rotationssymmetrischen Behälter bestimmt, der mit seinen Inhalten gefüllt ist, bspw. ein Kunststoffbehälter, der mit einer pharmazeutischen Zusammensetzung in Form von Tabletten gefüllt ist. Die Greifmittel umfassen einen Endabschnitt des Abreiß-Dichtelements, wobei sich dieser Endabschnitt in einem unbefestigten Zustand des Verschlusses entlang der Umfangslinie des Verschlusses und zwischen dem Deckelabschnitt und dem Aufnahmeabschnitt im wesentlichen in der gleichen Weise wie der Rest des Abreiß-Dichtelements erstreckt. Ein Verschluß 1 aus elastischem flexiblem Kunststoffmaterial, ähnlich dem in der EP-A2 0 320 474 beschriebenen Verschluß, ist in den Figuren 1 - 3 in einem unbefestigten Zustand und in den Figuren 4 - 6 auf einem Behälter 5 befestigt gezeigt. Der Verschluß 1 umfaßt einen Deckelabschnitt 2, ein Dichtelement oder einen Dichtstreifen 3 und einen Aufnahmeringabschnitt 4 mit einer rotationssymmetrischen inneren Oberfläche. Entlang des Hauptteils seiner Erstreckung entlang der Umfangslinie des Verschlusses 1 ist das Dichtelement 3, das etwa die Form eines Kreisringsegments aufweist, mit dem Deckelabschnitt 2 und dem Aufnahmeabschnitt 4 über Brückenabschnitte aus demselben kunststoffmaterial mit Aufreißlinien 13, 14 verbunden, die einfach durch Ziehen des Dichtelements 3 in der Umfangsrichtung des Verschlusses 1 aufgegrissen werden können. In den Figuren 1 und 2 ist der unbefestigte Verschluß in zwei in einer Hinsicht differierenden axialen Schnitten gezeigt, und zwar hinsichtlich des Profils der inneren Oberfläche des Dichtstreifens 3. Während dieses Profil 8, wie in der Darstellung des axialen Schnitts B-B (siehe Figur 3) in Fig. 2 gezeigt, in etwa eben ist und zwischen dem Wulst 6 an dem Deckelabschnitt 2 und dem Wulst 7 an dem Aufnahmeringabschnitt 3 eine Vertiefung bildet, ist das unterschiedliche Profil 9 in der Darstellung des axialen Schnitts A-A (siehe Fig. 6) in Fig. 1 hochgradig konvex und vorstehend, wobei es daher eine Beule oder einen Wulst 10 (Fig. 3) bildet. Wie in Fig. 3 gesehen werden kann, weist der Hauptteil der inneren Oberfläche des Dichtstreifens 3 ein ziemlich ebenes Profil 8 auf, welches sich auf beiden Seiten des Wulstes 10 entlang dem Dichtstreifen erstreckt. Ein abgedichteter Verschluß (1) für Behälter aus elastischem flexiblem Kunststoffmaterial umfaßt einen Aufnahmeabschnitt (4) zum Aufnehmen des Verschlusses (1) auf dem Behälter (5), einen mit dem Aufnahmeabschnitt (4) verbundenen Deckelabschnitt (2) und ein Abreiß-Dichtelement (3), das den Aufnahmeabschnitt (4) und den Deckelabschnitt (2) in einem anfänglich abgedichteten Zustand verbindet und das an seinem einen Endabschnitt mit Greifmitteln versehen ist, um das Entfernen des Dichtelements durch Abreißen zu erleichtern, wobei der Verschluß (1) vor seiner Befestigung auf dem Behälter (5) keine sich peripher von ihm wegerstreckende Greifmittel aufweist, wobei die Greifmittel durch die Einwirkung des Behälters auf den Verschluß (1) erzeugt werden, wenn der Verschluß (1) auf dem Behälter befestigt wird, wobei die Greifmittel einen Endabschnitt des Abreiß- Dichtelements (3) umfassen, wobei sich dieser Endabschnitt in einem unbefestigten Zustand des Verschlusses (1) entlang der Umfangslinie des Verschlusses und zwischen dem Deckelabschnitt (2) und dem Aufnahmeabschnitt (4) im wesentlichen in der gleichen Weise wie der Rest des Abreiß-Dichtelements (3) erstreckt, wobei sich der Endabschnitt des Abreiß-Dichtelements (3) in einem Zustand, in dem der Verschluß (1) auf dem Behälter (5) befestigt ist, peripher von der Umfangslinie des Verschlusses (1) wegerstreckt, wodurch er Greifmittel bereitstellt, durch die das Dichtelement (3) gegriffen und abgerissen werden kann, und wobei der Endabschnitt des Abreiß-Dichtelements (3) mit inneren Betätigungsmitteln (10) zur radialen Verschiebung des Endabschnitts durch die Berührung mit einem ringförmigen Wulstabschnitt (11) an der Außenseite des Halses des Behälters (5) versehen ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Deckelabschnitt (2) durch Scharniermittel mit dem Aufnahmeabschnitt (4) verbunden ist und die Betätigungsmittel (10) zur radialen Verschiebung des Endabschnitts in einem Abstand von dem Ende des Endabschnitts angeordnet sind.1.
