Abstract

A system to localise persons and/or objects in a controlled zone (120) comprising a management unit (200) for receiving localisation commands, a plurality of detectors (300) linked to the management unit (200) and distributed in the controlled zone, a plurality of portable equipment items (400) carried by the persons and/or objects to be localised. The detectors (300) communicate with the portable equipment items by exchange of coded signals in response to a localisation command. When a portable equipment item is activated by a first coded signal sent by a detector, it transmits to this detector a second coded signal representative of its particular identification code in order to be localised by the management unit. <IMAGE>
