Description
To the protective devices for electrical lines, machines, apparatus and others Power systems are subject to particularly high demands in two directions. First, the protective devices should work as selectively as possible, i.e. with certainty only switch off the sick part, secondly, they should work quickly, under Can take effect in a fraction of a second. It has therefore already been proposed several times for such Protective devices to use electron tubes, which are particularly advantageous are applicable if the protective device has to be given over longer distances Signals works.
However, it stayed with the proposals; such facilities have in the Practice has not yet been widely accepted.
According to the invention, such electron tubes are used for the stated purpose, in which the electrons are in operation by a normal temperature electrical discharge path can be supplied. This invention is the previous one Far superior to proposals because it is the peculiarity of guards is that they do not go into activity for weeks, even months, and still need to be ready to work at the moment. The electron tubes previously used for this purpose had the disadvantage that they are exposed to not inconsiderable wear due to the need for constant heating so that the danger of failure existed precisely at the moment of a disturbance. If one goes over to it, the electron tubes heating up at the moment of the disturbance, you lose the time necessary for heating up, quite apart from that, that additional power sources of a particular voltage must be available for this purpose, which represent a new source of danger. All of these disadvantages are overcome by the invention eliminated. In the selective protection of the invention, the electron tube can be switched on that which takes place at normal temperature. Discharge of the discharge path Get ready for operation in an extremely short period of time - but you can also do this without any operational disadvantages or significant economic ones Disadvantages Keeping the electron tube permanently ready for operation, since one without any noteworthy If the electrical discharge is heated, the wear of the tube is so low that it reduces the operational safety , not significantly impaired. At the light effect of the existing - discharge the monitoring officer can at the same time recognize the operational readiness at any time.

Ausführungsbeispiele sind in den Zeichnungen dargestellt. . ·Exemplary embodiments are shown in the drawings. . ·
Fig. Ι shows an example in which the electron tube is discharged when the fault occurs. To the current transformer of the line to be monitored a high-speed relay is connected, which when reaching the response current in a few Milliseconds closes its contact. Through • ίο this contact the discharge voltage connected to the discharge path that emits electrons.
If the delay time of the high-speed relay is still too long, you can also, for example connect the discharge path directly to the current transformer, expediently via a saturated intermediate transformer (Fig. 2). In the main current transformer occurs on the open secondary winding of the intermediate transformer a certain voltage that is sufficient to ignite the discharge path. Of course, to avoid the intermediate converter; the main converter can also be designed appropriately. The in the anode circuit of the devices (Fig. 1 and 2) lying release coils throw the main switch out directly.
In FIGS. 3 and 4, the arrangements from FIG. 2 are modified in that according to FIG. 3 the onset of the anode current of the electron tube only takes place after a glow lamp has responded. For this purpose is the Main current transformer closed via an ohmic resistance or an impedance, and the voltage drop at this impedance only causes a glow tube to ignite when the secondary current of the converter reaches a certain minimum level. in the At the moment of ignition, the 4.0 current is created through the electron tube, in its Circuit the tripping coil of the line switch is located.
In the embodiment shown in FIG. 4, a special anode power source can be dispensed with made by a rectifier holding parallel to the load resistance of the main current transformer, whose rectified Voltage is used directly to produce the anode current across the trip coil of the line switch.
Instead of the resistors that are parallel to the main current transformer in Fig. 3 and 4, an impedance or an intermediate transformer can of course also be used, wherein in the arrangement shown in Fig. 4, an intermediate converter with a. Center tap of the secondary winding is used.
In Fig. 5 a device is shown in which the discharge path is always ready for operation is held. A voltage is imposed on special control grids, which has a function the size to be monitored, e.g. B. for one a function of the mains voltage, for that .-other is a function of the current. For a 'selective protection one is often not just one 'use rElepient, but several : -Ve'ge- and selectivity members, which also return electron tubes with at normal temperature _ may contain the discharge path in operation.
By response of a quick relay or other means can the tube to generate any transmission frequencies are stimulated, which in turn for signal transmission or otherwise in a known manner for selective protection technology be exploited,
