Description
For the inductive transmission of a line signal to the moving train, an electromagnet is generally used on the locomotive, which has an exciter and a receiver winding. This causes disturbances in the signal transmission, ζ. Β. when driving over large masses of iron, fluctuations in the excitation current, etc., whereby the driver is warned unintentionally, - under certain circumstances, if the warning also affects the brakes at the same time, unnecessary braking occurs.
■ In order to avoid such disturbances, it is already known to form the excitation circuit and the receiving circuit on the locomotive with a separate electromagnet. This also required two separate magnet systems on the track. In this way, the above-mentioned shortcomings have been eliminated. On the other hand, there was another disadvantage in that the induced power decreases rapidly when the speed increases over 70 km per hour. Reference is made to FIG. 1. The curve shown therein indicates the respective maximum current in the receiving relay as a function of the train speed. This phenomenon is very disadvantageous. At high speeds, the duration of the transmission pulse is naturally correspondingly short, and therefore sufficient energy must be available for safe actuation of the receiving relay.
The investigation of this phenomenon revealed a rapid increase in impedance of the Track electromagnet and the receiving relay with increasing speed.
According to the invention you can now eliminate this troublesome disadvantage in that one rectified the induced current of the track electromagnet to the second track electromagnet feeds.
It is already known to arrange a rectifier in the locomotive circuit, whereby one achieves that a DC relay can be used instead of an AC relay. 'Likewise, devices for transmitting a signal from the train to the Line at the line a rectifier is arranged, around here also a direct current relay to be able to use. In contrast, the invention is an arrangement in which a signal is transmitted from the track to the train and where between the transmitting magnet of the train and the receiving magnet of the train as an intermediary, an intermediate circuit is provided on the route is, in which a rectifier is now arranged according to the invention. This will causes a significant improvement in signal transmission and for the maximum current of the receiving relay achieved a curve, as indicated by dashed lines in FIG.
The economic progress brought about by the invention is based on the following facts :
Since the railway operation always requires 7 position divide large collateral in all An, one of deneif especially the adherence to a prescribed clearance gauge, is an electromagnetic transmission conversely always associated with ίο large energy losses from a moving train on the track or. These losses are now particularly large in the case of double transmission. The electromagnetic energy transmitted to the receiving circuit is already so low here, due to the large magnetic scatter, that its use for reliable signal transmission and control of a train causes considerable difficulties, which are further increased by mechanical disturbances on a vehicle, by vibrations, etc.
The use of a rectifier in the intermediate circuit does not allow any for the time being Expect advantages, since the rectifier's inherent natural losses are already large Transmission losses increase the useful energy available in the receiving circuit so would still decrease significantly. However, it has been shown that the rectifier to largely offset another harmful effect of this transference principle able and therefore unexpectedly improves the overall efficiency despite its not negligible inherent losses. It should be noted that the double transmission induced in the receiving circuit Voltage compared to that of simple transmission has a fundamental wave of twice the frequency. This is also the Main reason why the rapid increase in impedance of the receiving circuit at high Speeds occurs and thus causes a considerable decrease in current. The invention is based on the knowledge that by rectifying the track transformer current a frequency doubling can be avoided, which is a substantial improvement in the Transmission results, so that the additional inherent losses of the rectifier are accepted can be and are largely balanced by the increased received energy due to low attenuation.
The subject matter of the invention is explained in more detail in Fig. 2, for example.
Assume that the locomotive electromagnets run over both of them when the signal is closed : oil solenoid ι and 2, then will ■ 'induced by the exciter electromagnet 5 in the track electromagnet ι an alternating current. This flows through the contact 3 on the signal through the one provided according to the invention Rectifier 4 and from there as a pulsating direct current in the electromagnet 2. The On the other hand, the resulting magnetic field induces a current in the receiving electromagnet 6, whereby the relay 7 in conductive connection with the latter responds and causes a warning or braking in a known manner. If, on the other hand, the signal shows clear travel, then the contact is at 3 interrupted. The track electromagnet 2 receives no current, and therefore it does not find any Influencing the locomotive equipment takes place.
You can also choose the contact device on the signal so that the contact 3 at Driving position short-circuits the DC circuit, which also does not affect it can. In the stop position, the short circuit is eliminated and the influence can be as explained above, take place. This has the great advantage that if the supply line is broken the signal, regardless of its position, is always influenced. It is also possible to use a permanent magnet instead of the electromagnet 5 to use, whereby the battery supply would be lost.
