Durch die stufenartig angeordneten Schaufeln wird nämlich das Vortreiben des Preßgutes nach der Mittelachse des Pressenraumes beschleunigt und so das vortreibende Gut an der Stirnseite der einzelnen Schaufeln zerrissen. An den Längsseiten der einzelnen Schaufeln kommen die Strukturbänder quer zu liegen, und bei weiterem Vortreiben werden die Bänder zu strcichholzartigcn Stäben geformt und in entsprechenden Längen abgeschnitten.
