Um ein Lehnsitzmöbel in ein Liegemöbel umwandeln zu können, ist es bereits vorgeschlagen worden, unter dem eigentlichen Polstersitzgestell ein zweites Polstergestell anzubringen, das herausgezogen wird, wenn die Sitzfläche in eine Liegefläche verlängert werden soll. Bei diesen bekannten Ausführungen ist dabei das eigentliche Polstersitzgestell fest mit dem Möbel verbunden, und das herausgezogene zweite Polstergestell wird mittels einer besonderen Vorrichtung mit dem Polstersitzgestell in eine gleiche Ebene gehoben. Die Notwendigkeit der besonderen Befestigung des eigentlichen Polstersitzgesteiles und die Maßnahme des Hochhebens des zweiten Polstergestelles machen nun ein solches Verwandlungsmöbel umständlich und unpraktisch. Wird der Stuhl als Lehnstuhl gebraucht, so dient dann ein Teil dieser Matte 8 zum Überdecken der Rückenlehne 9, 9', der andere hingegen liegt auf den Federn 3 des Polstersitzgestelles 1 auf (Abb. 3). Wird der Stuhl nun als Liegesofa verwendet, so ist der obere Teil 9 der Rückenlehne 9' nach vorn umgelegt, und das Polster 8 bedeckt dann die beiden Polstergestelle i, 2 (Abb. 4). Aus Schönheitsgründen ist es dabei noch ratsam, das vordere Ende der Matte 8 mit einem Stoffteil 10 auszustatten, der ungefähr die Größe des Schildes 7, 7' hat und zum Abdecken desselben verwendet wird, wenn der Stuhl als Lehnstuhl dient.
