Abstract

Method of producing coils of electrical cable, especially coils of a conical inside shape, the material to be wound being applied to a winding core (5) connected to a table (11) of a winding device (10), the conical winding cores (5), which are designed as hollow bodies, each with a flange-like extension (6) on their lower ends, being stored stacked in an interlocking manner separately from the winding device, the individual winding cores (5) then being placed on the table (11) of the winding device (10) in a rotatably mounted fashion, a closing plate (19) being placed on the upper end of the winding core (5) and axially coupled with the winding core (5), the material to be wound (1) being wound onto the winding core (5), with which the closing plate (19) is coupled, to make a wound package (2), the closing plate (19) being uncoupled and removed from the upper end of the winding core (5), the winding core (5) having the wound package (2) being removed from the winding device (10) and a film covering being applied to the periphery of the wound package (2) and at least part of the winding core (5). <IMAGE>
