Abstract

The fixture for a fluorescent lamp (8) has a transparent protective tube (13) enveloping the lamp. The end of said tube is received by screw rings (17) which are joined to the sockets (15) for the fluorescent lamp and have seals (18). Inserted in a rotationally fixed fashion in at least one end of the protective tube (13) is a bush-like stopper (1) the bottom (3) of which has a cutout (6) through which the contact pins (7) arranged on the fluorescent lamp (8) at the end project. As a result, the protective tube (13) and fluorescent lamp (8) are joined to one another in a rotationally fixed fashion, so that the lamp can be inserted into the socket without difficulty. <IMAGE>
